Because Guitar Hero: Aerosmith wasn't a bad enough idea.

I'd say a Metallica game would work a bit better, as the guitars seem to be more prominent in their songs. I'm biased though as I'm a Metallica fan and the only way I wouldn't buy this is if every song in the game was from St Anger.

I only recently got round to putting '...And Justice..' back onto my PC as I hadn't heard it in ages and I'd forgotten just how good it was.

Edit - Hope they put a few Kill 'Em All tracks in there like Metal Militia and Whiplash.

this is going to scupper me as I learned to play nearly everything from the first 5 albums (a long time ago mind) and so now it'll feel wrong. GH3 scuppered me a few times on certain songs because of that.

The aerosmith one is out on the 13th which is much sooner than I thought, I would probably buy it if I didnt have rock band to occupy me. Im not a big fan of aerosmith either but the songs that have been on so far have been quite fun noodly tihngs that dont repeat themselves although dream on was boring as hell. Ill probably just rent it mainly because I want to play the kinks and run dmc.

I'm half-tempted by GH:Aerosmith, not because I'm a big fan of theirs (I'm not at all), but some of their early songs are pretty good, and I like the idea of starting out as the band and working through their career (plus about 40% is other bands, also).

I'd be interested in the Metallica one for the same reasons. Again, I'm not a big fan, but I'd enjoy a GH game based around them.

I really dont like the pricing for these games though, surely they should be around £30 RRP cheapest I can find is £37.99.

Oh man, sweet, I really like Aerosmith (but that's not to say I can't see their flaws). I will probably buy this, although I haven't touched GH2 for aaaages.

Shouldn't they be a £10 add-on song pack for the existing games?

ALSO! Guitar Hero On Tour, where EA are brilliantly making a game with no target audience whatsoever. You won't play it on the go because a) it comes with a bulky peripheral and b) passers-by would rightly subject you to a shower of either ridicule or rotten fruit. You won't play it at home because... er, why wouldn't you play "proper" Guitar Hero?

Plus it's only got 20 songs including indie "bonus" tracks and half-a-dozen songs lifted from GH3. Dear oh dear oh dear.

Thing with it is, the clicky plastic pads sound better than Ulrich's drum sound on any Meatlicker album ever.

Except Stanger, which is awesome. Yes. It. Is. Shit album, ace drum sound.

Dude, we have a wok that sounds more like a snare drum.

I hate St. Anger's drum sound. Send your kit back to the Caribbean, Ulrich, and get a real set.

Would you want to, what with half-speed remastered double 45 reissues happening?

Yes. Especially as all the spokes on my Penny Farthing are bent from where I collided with that gang of gin-addled mudlarks.
