Shocking stuff in Paris. But another commitment to the cause as a result. Quote: French President Francois Hollande said the weather was a serious climate phenomenon

Well, rightly or wrongly, now that Trump's got in and Brexit's happening, no-one is going to give a fig about alleged man-made climate change; politically speaking, that is now dead as a dodo. From this point or thereabouts, it's going to be a free-for-all with wealth and jobs creation dials set to maximum and hang any consequences, all part of the political sea-change we are witnessing. So I guess we're gonna find out if there's anything in it or not, by direct empirical observation... |

Yeah, I quite fancy a "Riviera style" cafe culture developing around the babbling brook in my garden, even as it's transformed into a raging torrent (with "white horses" as per Lord of the Rings). This is the principal reason I had them chisel out the catalyst in my Harley's two-into-one. /grabs coat |

You can moan all you want about climate models, but actual honest to goodness empirical measurements of temperature rises and the effect on the world are being made as we speak, and have been for years. Unless the rising temperatures, rising sea levels and death of half of the Great Barrier Reef were all some shady ploy to stop Big Coal. |

I've had 2 roses put out flowers in the last week, only a couple on bushes that have 40-50 on them in the summer. Also have a large date type palm tree, it never gets dates on it, but in a good year it will put out loads of small white flowers which smell like honey. That has only happened maybe 2 summers from the 6 I have been at my house, but the tree is doing this right now! |
