In actual fact I'm almost obese according to the NHS BMI tracker, which seems about right for a baseball player.

Don't worry about Saturday night btw. All you missed was me getting completely off my face, crying all over Gaz and going to bed before 10pm.

I'm never drinking again.

(Til next time anyway.)

Not really liking what I see in the mirror at the moment (in profile anyway), so it's spin tonight, baseball tomorrow, spin wednesday, cricket Friday, then a short amble on Sunday.

parkrun parkrun! Good work, man. I ran Basildon - there are so many different ones. It's a three lapper, and normally I don't like those, but it's a varied lap with a lake to run round, and entertainingly Essex, complete with the orange folk dotted through the field. Nice folk.

Got rid of 8.5lbs now, still have a way to go maybe another 2 stone or more

Extending the run this week, went out with my wife and son (we have a jogging buggy) and did 2.5 miles, I didn't stop once which I was please about as my fitness is getting better.

Hard thing is still getting out, often I get home and my son is all over me, he gets really upset if I move the cars about on the drive as he thinks I'm going somewhere without him, never mind me going running.

Might start running in the mornings once it gets lighter.

Having colds all winter, horrible weather, lack of spare time, bad legs and some laziness are all combining to keep me from regaining any sort of running form. Need to just get on with it now, though.

When I started, I did it in 32 mins, in a run/walk. it has only been the last few weeks that it has clicked.

Now to get ready for a 10K

My shirts are getting tighter (in the right places) and my trousers are now in MC Hammer territory.

I may actually be in shape for summer for the first time in 15 years. Watch it piss it down the entire time.

That is awesome....

I have to admit, other than the bit of my chubby belly, I am looking good.

I noticed some of the ladies at my swimming club checking me out... :)

Just been to my diabetic nurse. Weight is 16 stone, I was 17 stone 6 last year. I need to eat more HGL stuff (almonds, salmon etc, will google more) I now have to eat more, never thought I would be told that.

That is really good news, blood pressure normal, cholesterol normal, HbA1c normal. See I am normal

Yesterday, as MrsA wanted to go to the supermarket, I stuck the child in the carrier (Kid Comfort III - very good) and off we went.

We went down the hill, crossed the canal and up past the small estate. Then, we walked along the bridleway through Dogging Wood, up the superb small path that us good for mountain biking and up to Baildon Moor. We got to the top, which was a but harder than I thought due to my wearing too many clothes. On the way we saw some grouse. And a fell runner passed us three times as he went up and down. Views were lovely.

Then we went down again and back along The Edge of Doom where there is a 50 foot plummet into a ravine.

a lovely 6.5 mile walk in the sun.

That's the kicker. You feel it yourself and your clothes are baggier but for me the best compliment and indicator of progress is for someone that doesn't know you've been trying to lose weight points out that you have.

Fuel economy is going to rocket up on the way to BeeXBBQ this year.

Good stuff! Hopefully, I can drop a stone or more before the 3 Peaks which is looming large.

Speaking of walking, I am eagerly awaiting a report from Gaywood and Co on their walk at the weekend.
