Honestly, there is no need to change anything you do with regards to online gaming. If I have a problem, then it's my own and no one else's. I will deal with it myself.

Ah, I'm glad you responded, there, as I thought of you as a little more manly and grown-up than to go 'I'm not playing with him, he done said things!' I hope none of this affects the 'legendary' (according to some lovely Scots chaps I made die lots) BeeX.

Never! Nothing will affect the Legendary BeeX.

Oh, well that is especially sad. I think that Dimrill has every right to be upset by anything said to him that was hurtful, whether they were the intentions of the words or not, but I do hope that he will look at what CUS said and at least consider that it very likely was just a stupid mistake and a bad placement of words, and a bit too much exuberance in posting.

I hope that Dimrill is OK. I emailed him a little while ago just to send monkey :munkeh: hugs and things :(

Right, I'm sick of discussing both of them now. I'm ducking out of here until tomorrow at the earliest. Have a lovely weekend, you excellent people (and I mean all of you, even Grim...).

Actually yes, that's a good point. This thread was created to answer questions about the reasons CUS has been given a week off, not questions about CUS himself. I think we all got a bit side-tracked.

Do you think that it might be right to remove this from being a sticky thread. it doesn't seem very pleasant to have a stickied thread highlighted by moving up into the subforum talking about someone who is not here.

At least that way if people want to discuss it then I guess they can, but it's not held aloft and can come to it's conclusion and drop down the forums, hopefully.

Also, I agree with Dudley, who agrees with me. I should visit him in the angry dome to make it less angry.

Post subject:  Re: CUS

So I picked this up of other boards, but for transparency they have a stickied (and locked) thread that details what the mods did, with a sentence explanation - if possible.

Maybe we could have that so people no what is "officially" happening without having to read threads.

Currently it would say:

Friday; May 30, 2008: Grim: Added/Found the ability to block people from PM'ing you - details here.
Friday; May 30, 2008: The Mod voted to give CUS a one week suspension. Reason: Private correspondence.

Just an idea though... I'm just mentioning it because of the people who will ask on monday...

Hello guys.

I have had an email from CUS. He asked me if I would mind passing on some of his words in response to things that are being said about him and that he cannot respond to himself. I have agreed because I think it is a bit unfair to discuss someone who is not here and is prevented from answering things that people have said regarding him. This is a straight cut and paste of what he wanted to say.

[snip - Sorry Mimi. I need to discuss with the other mods before we can permit this to be posted. Nothing personal - love and hugs, myoptika.]

*EDIT 2* Grim..., Goddess Jasmine and myoptika have decided it cannot be returned - apologies.

Oh screw it, deleted the old post in the quest for harmony.

Though I'll add that posting CUS's replies to this thread isn't helping, I think, Mimi. He's still using the same tired old excuses as he would if he was on the board, so it's not really helping to try to dredge up something people are trying to move on from.

Just my opinion, of course.

Post subject:  Re: CUS

OK, well, whatever the mods decide, I guess. I do think it is best that people do not publicly refer to the state of mind of someone who isn't here to defend himself, though. I think that point of his should at least be respected as he doesn't have a place for his say. Just my own opinion, but I hope you will consider it.

Indeed. I'm not a mod, so it's their call. I'd personally consider it fine to post him asking not to have his mental state discussed, but the rest of it was just an argumentative post that he would have made had he not been given a 'suspension'.

A week isn't long enough!!

Nah, I'm kidding. I hope both CUS and Dimmers are alright, and anyone else who's been affected. They both seem like top, genuine blokes. I appreciate it when people have personal issues, and let's be honest, an internet board is the least of your worries when that occurs, so you're not going to consider the feelings of the people on it.

Whoever posted about only having 200 members and not enough new people - that's plenty for the time being; look at how many posts are being made a day in comparison to other forums. I'm happy.

Post subject:  Re: CUS

I'm going to lock this one now, as I think all that's needed to be said (and more) has been. By CUS's own admissions he doesn't want his mental state discussed here, so it's in everyone's best interests.
