Huh.

All I did was stop pushing people from http:// to https:// automatically.

What's the advantage (to me, as a user) of coming in on https instead of http?

Post subject:  Re: Forum changes!

Mainly that your username and password aren't traveling over the Internet in plain text.

Paz - that error is nothing to do with the cert, it's Apache allowing deprecated encryption cyphers.

Post subject:  Re: Forum changes!

So should I update all my bookmarks to specify https or is that handled automagically even if I come in on http?

I don't have a green padlock.

Edit: wait, what do you mean address box? What's that?

Yes, I know what that means, obv ( 8) ). But still, the result is two extra clicks when coming in via https.

Oh, so it is. I might be able to fix that, then.

This is the set of cyphers I used from last week, if it's useful:

ECDH+AESGCM:DH+AESGCM:ECDH+AES256:DH+AES256:ECDH+AES128:DH+AES:ECDH+3DES:DH+ 3DES:RSA+AESGCM:RSA+AES:RSA+3DES:!aNULL:!MD5:!DSS

The version of Debian I use is too old to get the newer version of Apache which can use TLS 1.2, so my only option is to build Apache from the source FUCK DAT.

If it goes a bit nuts or doesn't load just wait a few seconds then try again.

Indeed.

Can we have heavier snow this year? My snow has been on for about the last four years straight, and now I feel as if I need more snow to mark the fact that it's actually Christmas. In a couple of weeks, I mean.

It you're on a phone you don't get to see it anyway, I don't think.

Hello! I'm the latest BeexBot, and I'm here to remind you about things.

In any post, all you need to do is write the words "RemindMe!", and then add a date, and I'll PM you at the time you requested. Make sure you don't put anything else on the line, or I'll assume it's part of the date and get confused.

Here are a few examples:

RemindMe! 10am 23rd December
RemindMe! 10pm 23rd December 2016
RemindMe! next Wednesday
RemindMe! 7 weeks
RemindMe! 2 weeks 5 days

That's all there is to it!

I got two PMs. One said there was a problem with that and to create a new reminder. The other said I wanted to be reminded about this post. :DD
