It was by all accounts rather overpowered - basically 3 rings in one. Dont know as I never got it.

I don't think I ever had that either, Dave.

I just was awesome, like I am being again but moreso.

I've seen both endings now but didn't really understand what was going on.

Did anyone give the big pot to Kaath instead of the snake dog near the shrine? I don't think I've ever met Kaath.

Yes. You need to do that to get one of the covenants and the red eye orb.

Means losing out on chunk munching though.

Hmm, need to toughen up before getting stuck into Sen's Gaff.

Those Snake men were taking far too long to clobber last night.

Hydra dead, and the three cat things too. Can't believe the speed of my progress compared to the first play. Really liking the Claymore now, don't think I used my Halberd at all last night.

The claymore also got minorly nerfed. It used to be a bit better at keeping things stunned.

Well it's new to me so I don't know any different.

I love how you can smack a Spear hollow with it and get them to stagger back leaving themselves open.

I reversed hollowing and used a cracked red eye orb to invade. I got speared ti death. Awesome. I've not gotten any further yet apart from trying out the different weapons the merchant has. Apologies for my slow progress.

I'm unimpressed with my short bow. But there we go. I'm liking my Estos sword (check spelling) and shield cimbo, although you have to be oatient as it uses a three thrust attack. Will go around wherei am a few more times then get more firebombs, kill the black knight, check that out and then kill the taurus demon. And buy the key to that area, too. It's a winderful game, even for half an hour.

Cheezo unlocked: Joined the Sunbros!

Didn't manage this on my first playthrough as I'd ramped up my Intelligence rather than Faith-a-faith-a-faith-ah, baby.

Had a crack at Sif and died due to my big fire spell being so slow to cast. Forgot how pouncy he was.

Think of what you want to be.

Spell caster (with smashy):
On my frst playthough I liked the halberds reach and the spells took my fancy so I pilled most of my souls into Attunement (for more spell slots), Intelligence (so I could cast stronger spells), Dexterity & Strength (for smashy smashy).

Big Holy Bertha:
This time I've been going for Faith (so I can use miracles), much more Dexterity & Strength (for big smashy smashy) and other bits.

I rememebred the wiki and I think strength, dexterity, endurance and vitality are going to be important for aaargh. Although as it is early, I am tempted to make him a holy warrior aargh and do some faith or something.

Yes, Endurance is good.

Choose Faith OR Intelligence to get to the big Miracles or Spells later on.

Best to think of what you want to do now and stick to it rather than spending souls across the board and end up with a Jack of all treades Master of non build. So yeah, try the Holy Whacker approach like me :)

I can always guide you a little more then later on with what I've discovered with my character.

I ignored both faith and intelligence on my first go, and used pyromancy only.

I didnt find faith all that useful when I did level it. I found casting too slow.

Casting is awesome when you get to a level to use Homing Soul Mass. It acts like a pre-cast spell / sheild that fires off when enemies get in range (causes big damage too). It also means you can fight hand to hand as normal too.

I used that on the pc. Well, until NG+,when I used pursuers instead.

Hnnngh, Sens Fortress is such a bitch!

Got half way in though and after picking up a few items and turning the stone wheel thing a few times to open up some of the walls I got hit by a rolling rock that had no right being there. Who the frig resets the machine?!

I'll be back tonight/tomorrow to crack this.

It took me so long to get through the fortress that I reckon I could do it blindfolded by now.

Heh, yeah it certainly got commited to memory the first time round. At least this time I know where I'm going and what to expect but that boulder SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE :'(

Had another crack at Wolfy Sif last night and died. My technique worked well but my sword was only taking slivers off him (my great balls of fire missed half the time too, it shook my nerves and it rattled my brain).

There are places that reset the firing direction. Most notable is one that leads down to the gold serpent ring.

Got further into Sens Gaff last night, but got squished by a boulder again (completely my fault this time). Decided a change of scene was in order so I went into the Catacombs. Made excellent progress down there getting rid of loads of Necromancers and the Iron Golumn before purposfully falling down a thin floor but forgetting a Black Knight was there.

At least I've grabbed some booty and I'll soon be able to fix me up a Fire Claymoor when I meet the next Smith. :metul:

When I got the the fortress my guy could survive a squishing from a bolder (although I'd have to hit the pimp cup afterward). Have you got a sneaky ninja man?

Fantastic session last night. Got to the bonfire in Sens Fortress and managed to kill every bastard up top including the Iron Gollum without dying. I did have a human Phantom (who got slapped silly) and the Knight Phantom with me for the Iron Gollum though.

Now I just need to the Archives opened so I can get to the DLC bit.

Your Mum's a DLC.

Dick Lovin' Criminal.

And you can prefix the Criminal with Smooth if you like, I insisted she removed all body hair since the crabs incident.

My tanky build means that I'm now happily clanking around Anor Londo in the Black Iron Armour set.

Swanky clanky.
