They will be bitterly disappointed when they discover that you're not gay and they can't run a story about a filthy gay paedo being banned from preying on the poor defenceless teenagers on XBox live.

You mark my words.

Really? Cos I don't think. I'm more aligned with Mr Chris in my feelings, hence I haven't rung him, and have just emailed asking if he's planning on taking the piss.

Yeah, I got your message myp. They didn't ban either of the tags; partial victory.

Well, he claims in email his angle is "political correctness hone mad, lets all laugh at the stupid Americans" which is credible. It's not like I can actually change anything so I'm answering his questions.

You can change my name back to Mr Chris, rather than Mr Christ, if you wouldn't mind. I get enough trouble with my ex-religion as it is. ;)

be honest they only publish 100 words a day. so I wouldnt be suprised if it was a lass with her tits out with a headline 'Dick GayWood'.

Man, if you'd just let that rest, nothing more would ever have happened, and most probably wouldn't have noticed.

Now... Sorry friend, but it most certainly has been noted.

Why is it, in allthe time I've "known" Richard Gaywood, I never once though "Dick Gaywood"? Why is "dick" the first thing every american seems to hear unpon hearing "richard"? Pfft.

Americans have a very strong anti gay agenda built into them from childhood, so anything to do with male genitalia is immediately ridiculed. They can't help it. It's a defence mechanism to prove how very heterosexual they all are.

To be fair, that depends which states.

It's definitely true with "Jesusland", though. The coastal regions, much less so.

It's actually really hard to generalise about America, as it's more or less 50 seperate countries joined together. Fascinating place in many ways.

Well, it's in there -- about 15-20 pages in as a sidebar to an article about Metal Gear Solid 4. Very simple writeup, it's no more than a couple of hundred words long. I'll get a scan up later.

Microsoft have chosen to ban Richard Gaywood for having an inherently offensive name.We agree with them, his name is very offensive to us. We wish he was dead.

Hardly 200 words.

That's like saying "I hate the Daily Star".

Anyway, you should have added "Microsoft shouldn't have done this, the bunch of fags."

I know. From what I understand though, just because the paper spews unthinking right-wing vitriol, that doesn't make the journalists right-wing vitriolists. It makes them clever and calculating people who know their target market.

Mohh, I shall try to work that into the next interview, should I manage to wrangle one.

I just don't understand all this 'offence' business. Even if the meaning behind your username was intended to be malicious, how would that offend anyone? I don't know if people are genuinely getting more sensitive and less able to brush aside unfair criticism, or if it's just big companies terrified of getting sued...?

Oh, before I forget - I've changed my gamertag, it's no longer 'Review Warhead'. Just a head's up folks, in case you get any weird names asking for friendships or whatnot on XBLAH.

Er... I got one from Review Warhead this weekend. I assumed that was you?

Also, I think you should buy Warhead and see what you think for yourself ;)

:this: I still bring it up in every interview I do, of which I have done exactly one in the last month.
