I've decided to ignore it, as, frankly, I'm far too busy and important to deal with the likes of him. For the time being. The man over the road sunbathes in his speedos for most of the day. Reading a book. I suspect most people on that street are quite mad.

They're not mad, they're Northern.

Glad you like the house, I'm sure a charismatic chap like you won't be lonely for long, either :)

Heh. When you mentioned your original plan all I could picture was David Mitchell trying to offer a bunch of flowers to a confused and quite angry Brian Glover.

Today has been a good day. This morning the beef man delivered me two kilos of marrow bones, two kilos of short ribs, and a kilo of skirt steak. The camera man delivered me a new lens, and I went to Borough market and bought a kilo and a half of cheese from the cheese man.

The lens was incidental to the gluttony.

Just wakin up in the mornin gotta thank God
I don't know but today seems kinda odd
No barkin from the dog, no smog
And your mother cooked a breakfast with whole hog
I got my grub on, I did pig out
Finally got a call from a badger I wanna dig out
Hooked it up for later as I hit the do'
Thinkin will I live, another twenty-fo'
I gotta go cause I got me a crop top
And if I hit the switch, I can make your pants drop
Had to stop, at a red light
Lookin in my mirror not a badger in sight
But everything is alright
I got a beep from Grim... and he can fuck all night
Called up the homies and I'm askin y'all
Which night, are y'all playin Gears of War?
Get me in an apron I'm trouble
Last week fucked around and got three kilos of offal
Freakin brisket everyway like M.J.
I do believe, today was a good day

I will refrain from nominating [Findus Fop's post] as a POTW, purely because it must have already been nominated.

I'd say more gold-painted nickel.

Still not happy with the offal line. Can't think of an offal lot to do with it, though.

Last trip to Ireland today.* Final emptying out of the apartment over the weekend, then home for good on Monday.

*Except for Christmas shopping. And Rammstein in February. And a week in Killarney next April. But, you know, sort of permanently.

Spent the day yesterday talking to people about what message they are going to give to the Secretary of State in their meeting with him next week.

Then came home and had a crawling race round the flat with my GF*

I'm not sure which was more productive and valuable...

Saw that one last night. Brilliant. Amazingly it's not my fave (but I'd be struggling to pick which one is). The quality is so high, Adventure Time rules all cartoons.

Got on the train this morning and went to Leeds. I then got on a bus to Chapeltown and helped a very good friend move a sofa into his van. By 'move' I mean we actually did defenestrate it. The trains were quick and efficient, and they have electric buses in Leeds. And the police has a Truancy Patrol Van, which reminded me of the child catchers from the Pullman novels. It was ace to see my friend again, as it's been a couple of years, and he'smoving to Otley with his (admittedly, very hot) girlfriend who is also lovely. So, I'll have a friend in the vicinity, and that's all good. He's also lending me a dehumidifier for the basement. Hurrah!

MrsA and I played Quoridor a lot last night, it's getting competitive. In a good way, as we now have an extra two hours a day to spend together, due to her having a really short commute.

Working out well so far.

Well, in the sense that I'm not dead and some other stuff. There are lots of people around here who seem to be really suntanned, which I can't work out.

Waiting for 'net connection to appear at home so I'm currently here which is lovely. Awesome place.

I joined the library earlier and have begun to read "THE MOON IS A HARSH MISTRESS". It's pretty good so far.

EDIT: Not being able to go to the Music Quiz anymore is the worst thing ever, though. Especially as I was never in the London Clique and I suspect the Northern Clique will shun me, for associating with the former.

Monday's task is to get a job, more than likely in't mill. I'll ask Damart if they'll take me. They are advertising for phone staff and positions like that, so it'll be a good start.

The train connections are so good to Leeds and Bradford there's chances something might turn up there as well. In Bingley itself, there's several law firms, one specialising in ciminal defense, so that oculd be a giggle. I'm going to get suited and booted and go door to door on Monday afternoon, as in the morning i want to hang aorund the magistrates courts to see who does what in the area, as knowledge is power. That, and the barristers are always ahving fags outside the building.

Oh, 8th October. My birthday. "American Wrestling" at Bingley Arts Centre. £10 a ticket, I think it'sa Royal Rumble affair. I'm well up for seeing that. MrsA, not so much, after banging on about the theatre so much, the one time I want to go...
