Can't be arsed to post a pic. Is on MKTV or the ghost times and that.

Quite a good track for time trials that one.

Shorts was just going through my miiverse posts and saw the rip Rik Mayall one. I told her there was a sad face because he had died.

She then asked 'How did he die? Did he use his boost too early?'

Nobody can take trousers down.

I've done the Mountain one - it's a tricky bugger because it's not 3 laps so it takes longer to learn.

Trying to beat Trousers' lap times is like trying to herd cats. (Futile and doomed to failure.)

I prefer to drive myself nuts in my final attempts to 100% complete DKC Tropical Freeze! (Very nearly there now.....)

Also 2:00:266 - May try again to get it below 2:00 but it's not looking likely.

Hello!

I have just had my first two cups on Mariokart. I've added all of the friends on the friends list in the WiiU thread that I could find. My nintynetwork ID is: Eskimimi

Not sure how you take part in tournaments yet, shall have a further read :)

Also, I'm rubbish so will need practice

More importantly - how pretty it is? It's so pretty.

Even doing the Time Trials and having played it for almost 30 hours I'm still amazed by the pretty.

INSTA PRE-ORDER OF BOTH DLC PACKS, if you look at what you're getting for £11 it's an absolute bloody bargain.

More details here - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014- ... ossing-dlc

Quote:
The two Nintendo-themed packs will each add two new cups (of four races each), four new carts and three new characters. So when all is said and done, it will increase the stage count by 50 per cent.

Nintendo already have my £11, it's damn near half the full game again.

Also there's free Mercedes DLC available which is a bit weird but I'll take it.

Really looking forward to this, have to say I haven't had much use for the Wii U recently, although I did max out all the first wave of games I got for it (except Pikmin 3 which didn't chime with me for some reason).

Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World and Rayman Legends I all 100% completed, so that's not bad going.

Will be nice to have a reason to fire it up again :) I'm not complaining though, when I bought the console I knew it would be for a small selection of games that I'd play to death, rather than loads of games, most of which I'd never make much headway with, as was the case with my 360s.

I had a little go before dinner.

- strange: cups are mixed with retro a new..
- great circuits: zelda, wario mine..
- snes rainbow road is converted well, yoshi is probably just a irritating as it was on the 'cube

not yet sure of: excite bike ( it looked 2d in the preview), could be a bit like the baby park circuit..

- the link bike and the new tires feel quite well...
- the 3.0 was installed already automagically when i got home, then it took a bit to download the DLC..

I remembered I was in charge so went home early to play this. Responsible team management RIGHT THERE.

Anyway I have beaten both new cups now so initial thoughts very similar to Romanista's.

Favourite track so far is the Hyrule Circuit. The sounds and the fact that the coins are now rupees all add to a really well made track.
The turns on Yoshi circuit are far too tight at 150CC and annoying
Mute City is a nice fast sprawling track with a million speed ups that give it a good F-Zero feel
The dips on Wario's gold mine are actually like being on a rollercoaster. Seems shorter than I remember for some reason though.
According to my stats I have done 12666 drifts.

Overall much more good than bad. Off to have another go now.

I've only played the first cup on 50cc so far, but I love the Excite Bike and F-Zero tracks.

What is this week's time trial?

We have played it!

The Yoshi track is too twisty, but the rainbow road was lovely.
