Hmmm

When I try and access the new stuff it tells me I have paid and to wait until it is released. What have I missed?

Is this out yet? Has anyone grabbed it?

I'm bloody well out tonight which is most annoying.

Report back though those that do get to have a play please?

I had a little go before dinner.

- strange: cups are mixed with retro a new..
- great circuits: zelda, wario mine..
- snes rainbow road is converted well, yoshi is probably just a irritating as it was on the 'cube

not yet sure of: excite bike ( it looked 2d in the preview), could be a bit like the baby park circuit..

- the link bike and the new tires feel quite well...
- the 3.0 was installed already automagically when i got home, then it took a bit to download the DLC..

I remembered I was in charge so went home early to play this. Responsible team management RIGHT THERE.

Anyway I have beaten both new cups now so initial thoughts very similar to Romanista's.

Favourite track so far is the Hyrule Circuit. The sounds and the fact that the coins are now rupees all add to a really well made track.
The turns on Yoshi circuit are far too tight at 150CC and annoying
Mute City is a nice fast sprawling track with a million speed ups that give it a good F-Zero feel
The dips on Wario's gold mine are actually like being on a rollercoaster. Seems shorter than I remember for some reason though.
According to my stats I have done 12666 drifts.

Overall much more good than bad. Off to have another go now.

I've only played the first cup on 50cc so far, but I love the Excite Bike and F-Zero tracks.

What is this week's time trial?

We have played it!

The Yoshi track is too twisty, but the rainbow road was lovely.

I also just hit 2:02.5 in Thwomp Ruins. Is that a Beex record?

Just put down a 1:58:371 on Excitebike. I reckon I can shave half a second off that.

(My Thwomp Ruins time was 1:58:840 :))

I think I can take maybe a second of that if I do a perfect lap. My best first lap is almost half a second faster...

I assume the cut off for this circuit is Thursday?

I could still take half a second of that as my best first lap is still .4 seconds quicker than that one.

But I don't think I'll be able to

I am now literally too old for this shit.

You're all better than me and I can't find the time / energy to try and beat those times because they are so far away from mine.

I hope you're all very happy destroying the old man.

BEST POST EVER.

Congrats to everyone who has beaten Trousers' times and made him feel miserable and old, because that's how his times made me feel.

Obviously this makes me a proper cack-handed mongo because I'm younger and more virile than him, so I should have been able to beat his times.

I need to tuck into the Mario Kart DLC at some point, I had a quick look last week but I was absolutely full of a rotten cold so didn't have much enthusiasm on the go, (although even through the fog of death it looked jolly lovely), and since then have dived back into WoW and that's been eating up games time, but Mario Kart would be worth setting some time aside for.
