Have they put a pulsox meter on you? What was the reading? Has anyone mentioned doing an arterial gas blood test?

Arterial blood draw is... quite different. You would know if they'd done it. Believe me.

It appears they have concluded you're not having a PE, which is very good given Beex's track record in this arena.

It's a comfort in these dark times.

But seriously, 9hrs at time-and-a-half is soothing the worst of the pain

I clearly caught something in Amsterdam (hoho), as I'm now in bed with some serious manflu. I had planned on spending the weekend continuing some landscaping work in the garden (just took delivery of a load of railway sleepers :) ) but no, in bed watching films. NAY.

I spent all Saturday in bed, and then felt well enough by the evening to have a glass of wine. Then spent Sunday smashing up two reinforced concrete bars (about 7 foot long, 9 inches on each side) with a sledgehammer. That seems to have sorted out the illness but now my arm hurts.

I just had a Pret Hoisin duck wrap. All the Mayo (why, why is there mayo) was at one end, and all the Hoisin (reasonable enough inclusion) was at the other. As a result both halves were inedible in completely different ways but I'm English so I shall not go downstairs waving my wrap demanding the refund that I am clearly entitled to.

After ongoing lady-drama, I now have to go for a scan to take a look at a suspected mass. I was much, much more concerned about the result of the pregnancy test the doctor made me do while she narrowed down some options...! Thankfully, that came back negative but it was a rather intense 2 minutes. Not unlike conception usually is. Now onto the list of other not-so-sinister/sinister things it could possibly be.

Tempted to ask them to just whip the whole lot out to be honest, it all just causes me grief.

I hope the scan and results come back swiftly for you Flis, and that they just show that it was an unexpectedly high level of awesome interfering with otherwise completely normal results xxx

Thanks guys :)

I've gone private for the scan so I can get it all out of the way as soon as possible. It's on Monday so I'll probably have that done before the various other test results are even back with the doctor! Still, waiting around in limbo is the worst part so there's some relief in getting it over with.

I've got to have a root canal and a crown on one of my teeth next week... Oh, and a filling.

And then another filling the week after.

Pah.

Has anyone ever had a root canal before? I think it's going to be painful.
