That's nothing. I got up at 6am yesterday to drive to Coventry to meet a logistics company who are taking away some old racks and equipment that are no longer needed by the customer. The window I was given was 8am-12:30pm. They turned up at 12:15pm. I had a nice nap and a big poo though, so it wasn't a total waste. |

I had Camera+, and I do like it, but I just struggle with it and the native camera app with Darwin because he is so darned wiggly jiggly. It's difficult to focus anything on a moving target with such a nonsensical pattern. |

Then he just collapsed at home and was taken to hospital, turns out his top vertebra in his back were damaged, they think as a result of the ladder incident and also the arthritis. Since then he has had an operation but there hasn't been much progress, he is paralysed from the neck down and is kept incubated for most of the day. This all happened 6 weeks ago, but his prognosis is no change from how he is now ever Just had a message from work the poor guy died over the weekend he was only 41 Has a kid a bit older than mine, even though I didn't really know the guy that well this is just dreadful for him and his family Just goes to show you never know when life can turn on you. Just had email from work, poor guy died at the weekend was only 41 |

Just been having a chat with my Dad and told me about a friend of the family who died last week, also at 41. I remember seeing the headline as it first appeared, but I never realised this story was about him. He was big into his running apparently so I guess a heart attack is perhaps the most likely cause of death. However, a few years back, his elder brother hung himself, so who knows. I remember how distraught their mum was when that happened, so to lose another must be heartbreaking. |

A chap local to me who was in the process of launching a new business recently killed himself. He was fairly young too. And I was supposed to be doing his website. |

He'd been out of work for three months, had four kids to support and was depressed, so he'd hung himself as his brother did. |

Depends where it is, of course, but for me some combination of the below makes all the difference, even fixes me sometimes: Leg raises - off a step if it's not too bad, off the floor if it is. Do a few several times a day - control the downward bit. Leaning against a wall, 35 degrees or so, stretching one leg straight so you feel it in the calf. Experiment with pointing your foot inward different amounts to see if you can get to a better spot. Leaning against a wall again, this time the leg you're stretching is bent, foot pointed inward about 45 degrees. |

Is it just overuse? Are you taking enough rest days etc? Sometimes just doing nothing for a bit is the best way to get things fixed. |

Good idea. He had a cold at his last load of injections and I called then, but the nurse said they only re-schedule if a fever is present, but I know it is a locum on today and they may have different ideas. I've been on hold for 15 minutes now. |

Oh yes, I know it's for the best, It's just difficult to be part of something that scares and hurts them. I have to be the one who holds him, too, and he's strong. Russell will be there, but I feel it has to be me for some reason. I think because I need to hold him tight and just be there, doing something. This will be the worst of them as there are more in this round than any other time, a couple in each leg and one in the arm. Today's have both his first MMR and the last of his meningitis jabs. He's in the first round of babes to gave the new meningitis jab, and that's the one that tends to make them feel so poorly afterwards. I'll be glad when it's over and he's back to cheery in a few days, especially when the cold passes. |

This is also, of course, an important opportunity for Darwin to learn that very important lesson: "Life is pain, highness. If anyone tells you otherwise, they're selling something". |

I have been short of breath for 2 to 3 weeks now. Coupled with a chest infection I have had dor the past week, I was had to stop three times walking up the hill from the shops (i just realised only Kern will know where I mean). I am off work today and probably tomorrow if i can get to doctors. |

Mali, get to the doctors you nitwit. Why is it men take so long to actually go? Anyway, hope you're OK and it isn't something serious like having turned into a massive weakling. Or an accidental aging process due to a bad case of the wormholes. Xx |
