Just had a quick nose around and had a shock. There's *new* stuff appeared.

Then I remembered, Perkies asked if I'd let his friend and her son play. That explains it.

Jeez, it's bigger than BeexWorld was now, and the old save format (The one when BeexWorld was still on) was really bad for compression!

Oh for fuck's sake, there's been another fucking update. You can use the launcher to make a new profile. That'll run in 1.7.2 until bukkit updates again.

Or maybe not. You can still access the server with 1.7.4 clients. I'll do a restart.

Thankfully the latest update un-fucks the distance rendering code, so you can now see stuff more than 20 blocks aways again and don't find yourself wandering off into a blue void whilst the chunk renderer struggles to catch up. :)

Just had a wander around Pazland showing my nephew what a real server looks like. His eyes were out on stalks for most of it!

I've never been white listed for Bukkit powers. Could you do that please? My Minecraft account is "richardgaywood".

360 version of Minecraft hits 12 million sales

http://news.xbox.com/2014/04/games-mine ... Id=7889981

Quote:
Minecraft Creeps Past 12 Million Sold on Xbox 360

Just in case you were one of the six people on the planet who didn't know this already: Mojang's "Minecraft" is kind of a big deal. In fact, the critically acclaimed "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" just crossed the 12 million sold mark -- making it one of the most successful Xbox 360 games ever. Of course, the "Minecraft" brain trust still has plenty of surprises in store for diehard "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" fans, including the April 18 release of the new Candy Texture Pack.

Curious as ever, we recently chatted with Mojang's Daniel Kaplan to discuss the game's big milestone and its next-gen future!

Xbox Wire: 12 million is an awfully big number! How does it feel to be one of the best-selling Xbox 360 titles of all-time?

Daniel Kaplan: It is pretty amazing! I remember when we started talking about sales numbers that we would be super happy to sell 1 million copies. That would have put us on par with BF1943 and Castle Crashers, which both are awesome games, so that was something to aim for. We never even dreamed of selling 12 million!

Xbox Wire: Are there any sweet new packs in the works for "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition?"

Daniel: Of course! We're looking forward to creating mashups with other games. The Marvel collaboration is a great start and something we want to continue doing.

Xbox Wire: What has impressed you most about the "Minecraft" community on Xbox 360?

Daniel: The continued support and the fact that people are still able to surprise us with innovative creations. Considering you can’t "cheat" by building stuff with external tools, the community have created incredible things.

Xbox Wire: What’s the most requested feature addition for "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" from users?

Daniel: Probably bigger worlds. We're pushing the limitations of the 360 in various different ways and we will continue doing that. However, bigger worlds would require the guarantee of a hard drive on each 360; since not all 360's ship with hard drives that makes things tricky. Luckily, on Xbox One, that's not an issue.

Xbox Wire: Which "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" achievement are you most proud of unlocking?

Daniel: Getting Wood!

Xbox Wire: What’s the most amazing thing you’ve seen created in "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition?"

Daniel: This is crazy!

Xbox Wire: So, any big news on the "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" front?

Daniel: It is coming, eventually!

As mentioned in the other thread, I'm going to be moving parts of Old Beexworld into Pazland. If there are no objections, I'm going to move Rev Owen's walled compound into the area currently zoned for Craster's 'Airport'.

Are there any other suggestions for things to be moved?

Now that I'm looking at it from a Pazland perspective, Beexworld is surprisingly small.

As a test, I just plonked the Mega-Lith into a Pazland backup. It looks proper shoddy :)

Only the best bits will be preserved, so if anyone had any gems hidden away, now's the time...

I've got an awesome OCD cave complex that I completely tiled the inside of with stone blocks. I have no idea where it is, and it's also a bit shit. So, probably not.

Can't you just import the whole thing onto an empty area of the map?

I tried that but it's quite demanding on the pc. Estimated processing time was into centuries.

Maybe if I cut it up into quarters...

OK!

What I've done is install a plugin called Multiverse. This allows multiple worlds on the same server. I will, in time add a handy dandy portal, but for now, if you wish to visit Beexworld, type

/mv tp beexworld

and to return

/mv tp world

Beexworld looks very swish in the newer lighting engine, I must say.
