Brienne didn't kill The Hound (well, no-one did, but Arya didn't think she had). She (Arya) stabbed The Hound in the chest after Brienne had kicked his ass.

He then demands that she kill him putting him out of his misery and cross his name off her list, unaware she has already removed his name from her list.

I did think the crew going out North of the wall are a better suicide squad than the actual Suicide Squad from the movie.

In GoT seasons 1 through 6, the bit from "I will go north of the Wall and capture a wight" to "here we are leaving the gate, having collected five other characters along the way" would have spanned six episodes. In season 7, it was about 15 minutes. I'm OK with that.
