Don't worry there'll inevitably be some kind of spin off or something. They would never allow a cash cow like that to be killed stone dead.

I can't believe Bronn never made a wanking joke last week when Jamie Lannister said that he could be like his missing right hand.

If there are really only 14 episodes to go they better tighten things up a bit.

Apparently there are rumoured to be 7 episodes next season instead of 10.

The one after...

There's no fucking way they'll just let it run for two more shorter seasons.

I mean, that seems right, but apparently filming this season was a fucking nightmare. So shortening it seems viable. More money money.

I reckon this series is going to end with Denarys crossing the Narrow Sea to Westoros with her fleet.

One thing I liked about that episode:

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
At least from my small amount of knowledge, it felt like a reasonable facsimile of actual pre-gunpowder war. Cavalry cutting through footsoliders, funnelling cavalry around the battlefield with trenches and pikemen (or at least that was supposed to happen but Snow gone done fucked up), shieldwalls, longbow archers mincing people with sustained, timed barrage fire.

Does Blackwater count? The Crown didn't really have a fleet in play there.

Only sort-of, I'd say. It was land vs ship, not ship vs ship. Seems like the latter has some unexplored territory the show could have fun with.

Should be pretty much boobs in every scene.

They've been rationed the last few episodes.

I think Swiss mercenaries used the same pike tactics by whoever could afford them until they were ruled OP and nerfed by gunpowder

Something I noticed...

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
After Wun-Wun kicked the gate in (just a wooden gate on the main castle in the North? Poor planning, chaps) it was Jon and the Free Folk who swarmed in, not the fresh Knights. I reckon The Vale didn't take a single casualty in that battle at all.

Wun-Tun would have been a far better name for a giant.

Isn't that how most battles go in fiction? I am sure they did in LotR, definitely did it before at least twice in GoT, and I have some vague recollection of seeing it in a film or tv show about the Napoleonic wars!

Some of the little non-battle scenes were good, with conversations and that. I reckon Davos is going to kill Melisandre next week.

Also, next week we get the culmination of the Kings Landing stuff, I expect. #TeamCersei

So the guesswork was right. Jon is Dany's nephew. That certainly sets the stage for the later seasons. Does that mean he'll find some dragons at some point, I wonder?
