Definitely didn't leave me thinking "MORE MORE MORE" but was still an OK watch.

Why end it halfway through a book? Make seasons with more episodes! Feels like such a rip off buying a box set with 10 episodes anyway.

I have but, having now Googled it, the apparently infamous "bus wankers" line doesn't seem to have lodged in my head for some reason.

The girl who played Bran's safe keeper, and has left for Castle Black or whatever it's called, with his younger brother, was the punky girl that Nicholas Hoult fancied in About A Boy

Mind blown, although I might have spotted it the next time I watched About a Boy. That very often happens, you rewatch a film you haven't seen for years and then you realise 'Holy shit, that's X from Y!'.. Watching Macgyver is a fun game of spotting a variety of unknown celebs before they made it - a lot of people from Stargate, for example.

I was watching Psych the other day and there was a female character that I recognised but totally couldn't place. Turned out to be Jeremy's temporary wife (Nancy) from Peep Show.

I think an American made it, and so don't know about the huge amounts of UK TV that features these people and only know about crap British-Gangster films.

However: EMMA PEEL?! Now that I did not know.

Also: Emilia Clarke has 'fat girl' boobs, a moustache and a silly pout. I might have mentioned that already..

I know who Diana Rigg is. I just didn't associate old-woman-in-shall with Diana Rigg or Emma Peel. I've only really seen the young version.

Also, what's wrong with you people? She looks like a Thunderbird/other Gerry Anderson puppet.

I shall. :)

I'm aware of the story, of course, having read all the books. And unlike The Walking Dead this is broadly following the flow of the original plot.

Nearly at the end - currently on episode 7. This is really very good. Tyrion goes from strength to strength, and Charles Dance is just wonderful as Tywin. Genuinely scary chap. Sansa still makes me think of that post by Mali though ("Actually, it was all good this week. Even the bits with Sansa. mostly as other people were being brilliant whilst the actress sat there and wondered why people were dressed funny and occasionally begin to talk nonsense at her, often repeating the same thing several times as an increasingly angry man shouts "CUT"! and then it gets dark and they all go home. not knowing what to do, she sits there and waits.")

And Daenarys Stormborn? Daenarys Phwooooooarborn more like.

Oh, bravo, sirs. And Caretaker Filch in particular.

After slogging my way through Ep 3 of Agents of Shield (which I'm now officially giving up on), it's nice to watch a well written, well plotted, well acted drama.

Roose fucking Bolton.

Well, episode 9 was amazing (despite knowing what would happen), but episode 10 was a bit fillery, despite being good.

To be fair to you, you're only a semi.

GRRM does start to suffer from a touch of the Jordanitis in the latter books in the series. But they're still fairly good, even at and after the point you're at. Unlike the WOT books, which after book 7 or so only picked up after the author died and someone else started writing them.

May I just belatedly say that if the epilogue of Book 3: Part 2 makes it into the telly series I can see many people being upset because (a) I don't think it would work and (b) it's a bit spazzy.

I don't know if they will or won't use it, I just don't think it's entirely keeping with the telly's fiction:

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
That priest guy jumped straight onto one-eyed (and then one-armed) chappie. There's no example in the TV fiction of someone being brought back to life after a lengthy death.

Anyway, that's not even my point, since the impact of the Red Wedding was SO MASSIVE, worldwide with such a ginormous impact that, I feel at least, that bringing her back might cheapen the programme and turn people off.

Oh...

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
When you put it like that, it's worse. But as I understand the books, she isn't, it just that her throat is cut so she can't speak and she looks a bit worse for wear. Also, from my what I read in the epilogue, she was commanding the Brave Folk to hang the Towers-guys in favour of Cotton-Eye Joe, who was, unfortunately, deaded in her place.

Not sure a zombie can be a zombie if it's capable of independent thought. I'm sure someone will be along to tell me otherwise though.
