Infinity Blade keeps Street Fighter IV company in my "Beat 'em up" games folder. Seems like it's more that than anything else, to me at least.

That's exactly how I described it somewhere else on the forum. I thought it was utter shit, but I appear to be in a very weak minority on that one.

The Sims 3 is down to 59p in the App store this weekend. I didn't like the Sims when I played it a few years ago, with the character constantly needing to pee and shower, so I don't know if it is any good, but it said that it is over 90% off for this weekend, so might be a bargain for some?

I had a nice little run on Dungeonraid and spotted something (which may be already known to everyone but not to me :-)

One of the spells I often take is 'treasure chamber' which basically means every new tile next turn is a coin.
Sometimes when i've played it i get the every coin thing , and then get it again but couldnt see how to trigger it.

The trick seems to be that if you play a spell which removes tiles it replaces them with coins *then* gives you coins for the next turn as well , so in this game I had fun clearning the screen of as many shields as possible then casting

Treasure Chamber (every new tile is a coin)
Heal (take every healing potion on screen which drops in new coins above)
Masochism (turn every coin to an enemy)
Killing the enemys to get virtually a whole screen of coins
Double money (double each coin taken)

When doing this the double money slot would often give 2 or 3 weapon upgrades since a full screen of coins x 2 (plus 0.whatever% I had as a bonus) was enough to push the meter round multiple times.

Update to Dungeon Raid includes two new challange modes

Dungeon Sprint - 100 moves to get the hightest score possible
Dungeon Pretzel - try to trace the most complex paths.

I'm up to level 9 on the Raider , Level 10 will allow me to use the Masochism skill with other professions which will be nice , I'm now 2nd on my friends leaderboard (behind Curio)

My thoughts are somewhere in the middle. There's a solid 4/5 game in there somewhere, but all too often you have to make a leap of faith, and hope that you happen to land on something off-screen. It's enjoyable, and strangely addictive, but fundamentally broken. 2/5.

I agree the leap of faith thing can be annoying, but I suspect there might be some trick to it. A mate of mine got a score of 700k.

^ This, although I didn't like it as much as you. I just wrote a feature on these kinds of games, so I've played dozens of the things over the past few weeks, and this new one really doesn't stack up well at all.

Um, no idea. On reviewing that game, I think I blasted right through the game, and then got my arse handed to me in the intergalactic cup—and that was about it. On the way to the cup, I didn't lose a single game and scored several in every game.

I think I've kind of got the hang of Unpleasant Horse now - rather than taking constant leaps of faith, I wait for a bird to jump at. It slows the pace of the game somewhat, and there is still some reliance on leaps of faith, but I've broken 100K twice now.

One with Masocism seems obvious - along with the halfling to bump up the armour rating
of the perks I like the 5% mana potions and 5% arrows , and I always wait for treasure chamber to max out coins (my best recent game was with those 2 plus heal and repair(? - the one which collects all shields))

I had it running fine on a 3GS and a 4 , however I will say it really eats up the battery , way much more than virtually anything else on the device - my 3GS it would kill , and it still makes a big dent on my 4

I like to take this one stage further for maximum level-uppage: trigger Treasure Chamber, then Skill Potion (which instantly collects all potions as XP, obviously dropping a bunch of coins), THEN the collect-all-coins ability (which thanks to the Treasure Chamber are replaced with MOAR COINS). If you want to get really silly, make Enchant your 4th skill otherwise try Double Damage, Teleport or convert-skulls-to-swords so all your eggs aren't in one basket.

If I'm going this way, I like to use the Changeling (who instantly refills a skill when you kill a special and so gives me a 25% chance of giving me a free Enchant), the Perk that gives automatic bonuses for collecting 10+ tiles and the Perk that doubles Regeneration effects so I can save potions to be hoovered up as Skill Potions.

...and then use the 'Double all gold collected' and collect the screen full of coins.

Also, I've found being a lizard dude quite useful for extra bonuses when buying new kit.

Also also, I was disappointed that hitting 'treasure chamber' and then 'teleport' doesn't give a room full of gold.

Oddly, my highest score thus far (28,590) came as a low-level lizard due with treasure chamber, collect potions as health, enchant and kill baddies stood next to coins (which worked rather well with treasure chamber!). I got:

859 turns
5941 XP
13906 GP
3884 UP

My records for individual score such as that are:

Turns = 1034
XP = 11811
GP = 13906
UP = 4727

Busted out 17706 XP in that one.

Used:
Enchant

Skill Potions
Masochism

...and also Wish, about 5 times whilst I waited on Treasure Chamber (which I didn't get until I was already on about 12k)

GNAAARRGGHH!!!

I was on FIYAH in a game of Dungeon Raid (which should probably have its own thread, tbf), using Treasure Chamber, Skill Elixir, Collect Coins and Charge (pick up all edge tiles).

Then I accidentally dropped (using Charge) an Assassin to the bottom rank, and couldn't get him near a sword, so as well as attacking he hit me for 280HP a turn via a stab, until I died. Gutted. Thought I was impregnable.

Still, my new record is now 72,500.

Woop woop.

You keep playing as an adventurer and killing special monsters , you'll get other cups/trophys for additional classes and if you play as those you can level them up to use the races with other character sets or use their special abilities.
