Well, I am indifferent to cheese, having given it up many years ago when going vegan and not missing it at all since.

Vegan cheese is 99% always complete :spew: Tastes like fooking plastic. The only time it has been good is on Vegan Pizza from Grove Cafe down the road from my house, but they only put a little bit on it and you can't really taste it, it just adds to the texture a bit. Saying that, vegan cream cheese is pretty nice, but doesn't really taste that much like cream cheese.

Sorry to hear that, they're awesome. I buy three bags every time I see 'em.

I can't find them on the Marmite website, but you should go look at it anyway because it's excellent. Have a look at the Recipes bit (Eat Marmite > C&M Sarnie), and also follow the 'HATE!' link there too :D

I bought some of these yesterday. They don't look very nice and they don't smell very nice. They taste ok, but I found them a bit dry tbh. Don't think I'd bother with them again.

I was going to send you one Mimi, but they have to be kept refridgerated, and it's a bit too warm. :(

Nooo, thank you for pointing them out - I'm still glad I tried them! Still got my Davidstow to try yet too. :)

In a bizarre twist, Darryl has decided he likes the Marmite cheeses, although he doesn't like Marmite... and I loved the Davidstow, I bought some more today from Tesco, glad I hunted for it, it's on offer too! :)

That slightly rubbery cheddar from the supermarket deli counter which has little bits of red and green chilli though it is absolutely fine toasted under a grill... cheese on toast is of course the best kind of cheese, because you also get toast, which is a good culinary bonus multiplier.
