ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
I really hope the sequel to Prometheus is basically Thelma & Louise with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Michael Fassbender's head.

That would rule so much. Noomi Rapace is lovely. I'm jealous of my wife's friend Marcus for getting to have a long fight with her in Sherlock Holmes. People who want to see her all nudey could watch Daisy Diamond but be warned, it's bleaker than Ebbw Vale.

[San Diego Comic-Con '12] It Gets Even Better, NECA Reveals “Game Over Man” Hudson From ‘Aliens’ — Cpl. Dwayne Hicks Next?
Posted by MrDisgusting on July 11, 2012 @ 9:59pm | 0 Comments

While we still dream of a Ripley figure, NECA continues to do well by fans by turning away from creatures and focusing on the awesome characters that make the classic horror franchises so badass.

Just now, this very second, NECA pulled the black cloak off revealing “Game Over Man Hudson” from James Cameron’s 1986 epic Aliens, my personal all-time favorite movie. Thanks to Evan Dickson, we have your first ever look, and will be updating this post with a massive NECA image gallery loaded with everything from Gremlins to Left 4 Dead.

There are still more figures in hiding. What could be next? Dare I say the earlier teased Cpl. Dwayne Hicks (played by Michael Biehn)? We’ll update this story when the next cover is pulled off…

I'm selling my Alien Facehugger on eBay.. just thought I'd post it here in case anyone is interested? Obviously, if someone from here does want it/win it I'd do a deal on the price.

Take a look here.

Don't panic, it's not game related so I have no real attachment to it.

My Alien Facehugger is up to £142 with a day and a half to go. Amazing! I'd have been happy with £50 for it.

I hope the winner pays...

Don't watch it at daytime during summer, is my advice.

I watched Prometheus this weekend, Lady T saw it in the iTunes movie chart and fancied watching it. Excellently, she didn't know it was part of the Alien series/universe/canon/whatevs.

I did enjoy it, but hated the characters. No one really stood out other than David (the intro sequence with him was great), and a lot of their decisions seemed downright bizarre and their actions almost random. At the time of viewing I was quite into it, but afterwards I found that the more I thought about it the more the film seemed diminished.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
This precious artefact, the head of an alien. Let's stick a spike in and zap it!

Also, the operation scene was quite uncomfortable viewing for me, it was the only quite tense moment

I'd watch an extended version though, and hope that it might elaborate and set the scene a little more...

Original Prometheus script has been leaked, has been confirmed as real.
Apparently it is quite different to the way the film ended up and clears up a lot of the stuff that didn't make much sense.

Hmm. Then they should have gone with the original script, I enjoyed the film but thought that some bits should have been different.

I'm still hosting the original script for AvP:

http://www.fullonrobotchubby.co.uk/rand ... script.txt

Put it on your Kindle and have a read - it's really good.

Agreed...but I do like the David stuff from the beginning of the film however it wouldn't really fit with the original's David's personality who really didn't seem to care for humans.

The big benefit of the original script is providing a more compelling and believable motive for Weyland.

Alternative beginning and end on Blue-Ray? Go fuck yourself. I'm going to time the difference in the alternative beginning but my guess is 3 seconds, maybe less. The alternative ending has a few seconds of alternate dialogue and a very short fight between Shaw and the engineer. There's less than 2 minutes new stuff in total I'd guess.

Plus I had to watch the most wooden actors since Woody Allen playing Pinnicio.

And that fucking Scotish woman. I mean, fucks sake she was attricious.

That was a really good read!

I watched the film for the first time the other day. It's pretty clear that all of the stuff that seems daft or doesn't make sense in it is a result of changes made since this draft of the script.

I've got no idea why they changed it, since there's not really any difference in the sets needed, actors, etc etc. There's still plenty of scope for a sequel left at the end of the original script, too.

Fingers crossed. Not paying £75 though.

Get. Tae. Fuck.

The sad thing is there hasn't EVER been a good alien and/or predator game. Given how much of a solid gold licence it is, it's just gob smacking.

I'm therefore not holding out too much hope for Colonial Marines, however much they're charging or however much tat they're shovelling with it. The tat isn't a good sign. "Look at the unicorn!"

Alien Vs Predator was brilliant, you fool. As was Alien3 on the 8 Bit consoles.

I had an enjoyable 30 minutes playing Aliens something or other on the PS1 many years ago.

AvP was not that good. IT was okay, but mainly because of the "everything's the floor" for the alien. It wasn't as bad as the new one, but it still wasn't great.

The first AvP PC game (by Rebellion) was awesome, not least because in the Marine campaign (and probably others) you never knew when you were going to come up against the aliens. Muchos tension.

I've only played it on the Mega Drive, but for 8-bits, I've got a Master System and Game Gear version.

That sidescrolling arcade Aliens game was pretty good.
