Congratulations! And it looks like they were mighty accurate with the weight prediction.

The day before our first was born we were told we were getting a 10-pounder. When she arrived she was 6 and a half pounds.

I posted in the NAY thread about a friends stag do where we were supposed to be going to an arcade in the afternoon but it shut down before we got there.

Instead, we looked at doing an escape the room challenge in Wolverhampton (Thanks Russ!) but that was all booked up so we eventually settled on hiring a conference room at a local hotel and having a video games afternoon in there.

We managed ten player Bomberman on the Saturn (Actually, it was 9 in the end because one of my pads didn't work with the multitap) but it was awesome! Then we played stuff like Street Fighter, Mario Kart, Trials HD and lots of other things. It was great. I'm tempted to do it again!

Indeed... and it helped that I have access to tons of consoles and games to play. I was actually surprised that I own ten Saturn pads! They just kept appearing like something out of Mary Poppins handbag.

Is it one of those rules that if you pick someone up on their grammar you have to accidentally make a mistake of your own?

20-week scan today. Was a bit nervous, partly due to my wife's age (she'll be 44 in a couple of weeks), but all looks fine, and it's a girl.

That was awesome. So much more fun in mosh pit, even if I'm now soaked in sweat and other people's stale booze. The Roundhouse was a brilliant building too.

Prom tickets for Mahler's 2nd Symphony ('The Resurrection') in mid-August got! High up in the gods, but still a seat nonetheless. And the friend I'm going with has got slightly better seats for a Rachminov/Tchaikovsky prom at the end of that month! I'll have to pay the difference in cash or beer...
