I can sleep on my side now! Last night didn't have my morphene night cap :)

Getting better each day but I'm an impatient sod so it's still not fast enough. I want to be out crashing planes!

Well done Zardoz.!I hope you feel stronger and better each day and are being plenty spoiled with love and snuggles from your family and kiddliwinks.

I like to sleep on my tummy. I miss that and haven't slept in a comfortable position in months :(

Well I'm assuming your wife's opinions of your sexual performance didn't make it into your mid year review, so that's probably fair enough.

And the second yay of the day - had our offer accepted on the house we want to buy. Woot! We only have one rung on the chain below our buyers, and nothing above the seller we're buying from, so, lawyers notwithstanding, this should be a relatively quick process.

Post subject:  Re: The 'Yay!' thread

I bought the one with the large gardens, space to build a large garage, in a quiet country village, with a nearby pub and playground, and a massive amount of room inside. I didn't buy that modern wankfest with the slopey garden you liked.

It's a long thin garden that goes uphill abnd is overlooked by next door - you couldn't play football on it or anything, so it's not a massive amount of use to the kids. There's also no space to build a garage. The location is a bit iffy as well.

Oh, I totally get that there may be better or more suitable houses, but it's far from abysmal.

No idea with the camera! Very odd!

It's the same one I've taken all my pics with lately...

I will admit I couldn't see a thing when I took it the sun is brutal today..

That's my back yard though. The flat is about 80ft back off the beach. Winter is fun, the windows rattle like mad and the wind howls.

Amazing place to live though, and my doctors are all a two minute walk so ideal..

Zardy - good stuff man. Chuffed you're mending well :)

My new motor came today might run the beater later :)

Do you have a cool scar...? Did they crack your chest like what they do on the telly? Or did they go up your leg, which whilst impressive, is way fewer cool. I hit my hand with a hammer yesterday and it's sore as fuck, it kept me awake a bit last night, but there's no bruise! Just a slightly swollen lump. So I totally know how annoying unimpressive post-trauma lack of scars can be, man.

Glad you're on the mend :) I can't even imagine how daunting an experience it all must've been for you and your family. And Mrs. Zardoz didn't even have to kill you to get her mortgage paid, bonus!

The 'through the leg' or wrist is for stents (had two of those in through my wrist on the artery that caused my heart attack). Yeah I have a scar down my sternum where they went in, and one down my left calf where they took a vein from. One of the tests today was pressing my sternum as I moved my head left and right to see if it had settled back after they cracked it open.

Yesterday I took part in a world record attempt for busking. Some friends busked for 24 hours and 30 minutes to break the world record.... And they did it!

I played with them for a few hours until about 1 in the morning.
