That's a shame. I know Duds is fairly regularly on Rllmuk, I hope the rest of them are happy enough wherever they ended up

Nowhere near the amount of HD channels on Freesat as there is on Sky though, if that sort of thing interests you :)

I did mum's a few years ago and she's been very happy with it. It does lack a couple of Freeview channels though, so make sure you either use the tuner in your TV or get a cheapo Freeview HD box :)

Edit. page number fail.

2010. In my defence I think my mouse is fucked, because when I scroll it jumps all over the place and usually goes up when I want it to go down.

That would be neat :D

It's jumping all over the place. And to think I thought it was just Razer mice that did that.

Mouse wank. Now with added tweezers and magnifying glass.

I went to the doctor today. Nothing serious, I was just getting my Systmonline set up with all of my required meds. However, whilst in the waiting room the most adorable little girl aged about two came over and put a book on my lap. She wasn't able to speak yet so I started reading the book for her and pointing to the pictures of the animals and so on. She laughed, then turned around and picked up a really heavy book about elephants.

She brought the book over to me and plonked it on my lap and then stood there flapping her little arms whilst blowing a raspberry as her best elephant impression.

It was soooo adorable :)

It really made my day :)

Aww, that's really lovely JC. I love that children don't have the same social boundaries as most adults. Darwin doesn't think twice about shoving his hand down my top. :D

Okay, perhaps not quite so free. But not having the inadequacies that society/life puts upon us. :)

Give it a couple of years and they'll cost double the normal ones as an incentive to stop being diabetic.

Naturally varies by up to 5 weeks, although stuff is usually done based on the 40 week estimate.

Did you not just have a baby 6 months ago? :DD

As we're now married, this one carries fewer shames. From my point of view. If'd also better not walk for ages because of the cost of the new push trolley, too. I had that cash earmarked for 'other' and had worked out how to mill it away and turn it into a new bike frame.

Haha, I did, but I'm notoriously forgetful once my brain has deemed a piece of information no longer currently necessary. I knew it was either 35, 38, 40 or 42 weeks. I think they all meant something, but couldn't remember what.

I phoned my old boss today. The last time I spoke to him was when I left in 1999. It had been an awfully long time since we spoke but I'm so glad I decided to call him. For some reason I was thinking about it all yesterday and just had a strange feeling. This morning I decided to Google and street view to see if the shop was still there. It was, but it was smaller in size (it initially spanned across three buildings) and had a different name. Any way I looked up the phone number and sure enough my old boss was still there running the place. It turns out his father (who gave me the job) had died quite recently.

I'm really glad I called him. My friend and fellow employee who I worked there with committed suicide in 2003 and I was out in America. It was nice to find out what had really happened.

I know that doesn't really sound like yay material but it gave me some closure.

Got me some new shoesies yesterday. Some classic 1461 Dr Martens shoes in smooth leather. They're ace!

They're by far the expensive pair of shoes I've ever bought!

I can't feel the pedals when I'm driving!* :S

My heels hurt a bit where the leather is still stiff!

But, they're still ace!

* This was unnerving on the drive in. I tend to push the clutch with the ball of my left foot, but not being able to feel the pedal meant I was placing my foot too high and therefore not pressing the pedal in enough. I had to retrain my brain to press the pedal with the toe part of the shoe so I don't die in a firey ball of heat and noise. I might bring a pair of trainers for driving until the shoes are worn in a bit.

As you all may recall, I finished my job yesterday due to my contract coming to an end.

Yesterday morning I went for an interview and I've just found out that I've got the job! They want me to start as soon as next week so that is good news.

And no... It's not an April fools joke. :D

That's a massive weight off my mind and it means I can play my Xbox this evening guilt free, knowing that I don't have to look for jobs online.

Also.. Russ gave me a brilliant pep talk in one of the threads I was moaning about not having a job so Russ, thanks. I owe you one! You helped me more than you'll ever know.
