I don't know for sure but I'd imagine so. She's basically a female version of me.

Is this a new one after the one that joined you to Jem's party? Or a new one after the one after the one that joined you to Jem's party?

I assume the former, but you've gone "official"? :P

When I got engaged around 20 months ago I decided to go on the Nike store and order a pair of custom made trainers depicting both my name and Mrs JC's. They weren't cheap (£150) but I figured I would hide them and then wear them when I proposed, then keep wearing them afterward. I'm dead romantic, me.

Well I ordered them to be made per my choice of a lovely pastel orange and black. They looked awesome on Nike's configure software.

When they arrived though... They were like "road reflector" orange. Nike call it citrine. These things literally looked like I was wearing stop signs on my feet. I considered returning them but there was no time to get them replaced (8 week wait IIRC and they ship directly from Vietnam) so I decided to just roll with the punches and use them.

Here's a pic. Think "nice soft pastel orange"...

Image

So I'm sure the joke is evident. I phoned Nike to complain but there was very little they could do. Here is a pic of what I mean about the names.

Image

So yeah, I'm a little red faced every time I wear them but I don't care 'cause it was one of the most awesome days ever. So I was poking around on Ebay this morning looking for a pair of "sea trainers". We live on the beach so in the summer I spend most of it in the sea swimming. I have tried wet boots but they got torn to shreds within a few days running up and down the stones on the beach. So I saw these on Ebay and figured I would order them for the LOLs (and in remembrance of our engagement).

Image

I'm going to save them until our engagement anniversary and then wear them :D They're real, obs. Honest....

All the custom nike stuff I've ordered has turned around in a couple of weeks (I've even got a pair of those Shox, although not in that colour, obv).

Maybe they didn't have stock on something? They literally just about arrived in time with like one day to spare. Obviously there was no way Nike could turn things around in one day so I decided to keep them :)

They're uber comfy and a nice part is because they are made of that sort of reflective material they're dead easy to clean. Just bust out the Huggies and give them a wipe over and they're as good as new lol.

I've got a real pair of Huaraches too. Red white and black IIRC (they're currently in the hall covered in dog shite :S )

I like those. Many years ago I had a pair of Nike Max Air Swingman. They were white leather TNs with a transparent sole and there was some dude swinging a bat in the sole. Griffey?

They cost an absolute fortune at the time (well over $200) and some fucking scrot stole them from the outside doorstep. Few pics of my trainer collection. I have these (Stan Smith Star Wars Darth Vader).

Image

And some Luke Skywalker Jedi ones.

Image

These, so I could relive my childhood.

Image

And these which I picked up at SD for about £30 for wearing in the house. I go through slippers like shit through a goose so now I just wear trainers instead.

Image

(not my pic). I've also got a pair of 180 "hi top" ankle boots with the entire heel as a bubble. No pics though they're in the wardrobe somewhere.

I used to have loads more too but Mrs JC made me chuck some away.

I went on the Intrepid today and am currently in Hells Kitchen. Plenty more to go at - the suggestions in this thread have been most helpful thanks folks.

I will be dead of a heart attack from over eating by Sunday so thought best post this now.

I can confirm, no floaters.

Verveine tonight and La Perle tomorrow (owned and ran by a former Masterchef semi finalist).

Stuffing your cake hole doesn't get much better than this.

Potentially looking at 35% pay rise... Which does sound good. Old boss is retiring, new boss says I'm "criminally underpaid" so he is my New Best Friend. He's also been making good noises about paying for training and professional qualifications - all that stuff that makes you employable and keeps you relevant.

I'm trying not to get too enthusiastic about it or plan what to spend it on etc. because many promises have been made in the past and broken every time or a rubbish gesture made instead. Like one time, I got a £500 bonus  way to go, guys.

Good news flis! My day started with the "no pay rise" announcement, followed up with An Impossible Task On A Ludicrous Deadline and at 11 am MrsA told me she needed to go to hospital "as soon as childcare can be arranged". Childcare could not be arranged so I left at 2pm to look after Captain Shitpants. MrsA was all fine and was back in 90 minutes. I am off to NerdClub and am rejigging a game plan to Fuck Shit Up. Here is a photo of what took an hour.
