Where were you drinking? Notice the Equity for Punks leaflet, (I have a share or whatever they call it!) but most of the bars or cheap beer opportunities are always in the North

Side note: everyone in the world should come to the Eurogamer Expo because it looks awesome and it would be lovely to meet more Beex people.

Further side note: I'm really drunk. :-)

We both had a great time as well, I'm so glad I struggled through my hangover to make it to Glasgow! :D I fell asleep on the drive home, barely ate my chinese and then had to go to bed so all round it was a good night! Think I'll have an alcohol free weekend now though. I don't know the last time I drank so much beer! I'm going to have a look at the eurogamer expo. Was great hanging out with you, we'll definitely do it again soon.

I'm glad you made it along as well! I'm currently sitting in work feeling pretty rough but I've only been here for an hour and hopefully should be out of here shortly. I can see some kind of tasty burger in my immediate future.

I think I looked at one point and the cottage was also a pain in the arse for me to get to, though you're right that I should totally come at some point.

Hmmm. £60 flights to/from East Midlands airport then whatever a taxi costs to go the 20 miles to/from the cottage. It's not ridiculous, though the flight back doesn't leave until fairly late on which involves lots of horribly hungover sitting around in an airport. I'll look at it more seriously next time round. Though in the meantime I do quite fancy coming down to London for one of the quiz nights so I might do that this year if I'd be welcome.

Pretty sure there is a train from the airport to Derby. There is a bus from near there to near the cottage. The bus takes about 30 minutes. It's about 10 minutes walk at either end.

There are ways and means, no doubt. It's just a bit of a pain in the dick in general getting to/from it. Obviously you should all just move the entire thing to Scotland and that would sort it out.

Well I went out again on my own. I've been taking new pills that make me less lethargic and ever so slightly manic (Abilify, AKA aripirprazole or something hard to pronounce).

This time I dared to go one further though. Instead of just getting off the bus outside the post office, collecting a parcel and then coming home I actually went into town and bought some new clothes. It went quite well. Standing in queues in shops though made me a little nervous and when I got home two fighter jets went overhead (Goodwood is on so I guess we're the turn around point) and I dropped all my shopping and stuck my fingers in my ears. Way too loud for an aspie !

Still, it's a monumental step in the right direction. I've been very well for the past couple of years but sadly the pills I was given that made me so well (Seroquel and Pregabalin) also made JC very fat. I'm now a 40" waist (was a 34) and have a pair of tits to rival Mrs JC. I'm also pre diabetic now but all of it is caused by the Seroquel so I'm coming off that (so another yay really, it just makes me like a stoner).

Oh and of course I'll bust a "yay" for being back here. I really missed the place :)

I can sleep on my side now! Last night didn't have my morphene night cap :)

Getting better each day but I'm an impatient sod so it's still not fast enough. I want to be out crashing planes!

Well done Zardoz.!I hope you feel stronger and better each day and are being plenty spoiled with love and snuggles from your family and kiddliwinks.

I like to sleep on my tummy. I miss that and haven't slept in a comfortable position in months :(

Well I'm assuming your wife's opinions of your sexual performance didn't make it into your mid year review, so that's probably fair enough.
