Why wouldn't he kiss her on the mouth? He went straight past her mouth and kissed her on the cheek. It just looked awkward.

Excellent dancers.

The dog needed a bigger part.

Good drumming. What's with the gloves?

Thank you. I took to wearing gloves several years ago as it a) saves my hands from getting wrecked and b) makes me look a bit like Tommy Lee.

It also means that I can play just a little bit harder.

What happened to your beard?

Also, what was it all in aid of, again?

I got rid of the beard a while ago. It was just too much and was only ever going to last until I got bored of it.. I keep it short and simple now.

Also, I'm not quite sure what it was in aid of to be honest? I think the radio station are using it to promote themselves but I don't think they're going to release it for charity as originally planned as they mumbled something about the royalties from it.

I've changed my Facebook profile picture to be my actual face for the first time ever and the picture in question doesn't make me want to instantly vomit and then kill myself. As ridiculous as that undoubtedly sounds it's actually quite a big positive for me. :)

That doesn't sound ridiculous at all, actually, and I am sure it's a feeling many people can relate to in some degree. If it's been a bit of a step for you then it's a big 'well done' and a massive 'yay'!

:this:

Totally agree with everything Mimi just said. I pretty much cringe every time I get a notification that someone has added a photograph of me.

I'd swipe right.

For years I avoided Facebook and linked in because I didn't want people to think that I wasn't doing well and stuff, you know, so I can kind of understand why this is A GOOD THING for you Big B. Good stuff.

Driver arranged for tomorrow morning, 4am flight out of here, it's going to be a sod of a journey (dreading the transit in Istanbul) but I cannot wait (especially for the bacon sandwiches when I get back home).

So...yay!

Took my son to see Santa today for the first time

My wife booked it and it cost £10 so I had no expectations

The Santa was brilliant had a real beard and the whole place was really good, once you left there were even 2 real reindeer to look at.

My son shook (very briefly) with either fear or excitement when he first meet Santa, even though we had spoken about him and looked at books I still think he was knocked out to see he was real so to speak!

Best Christmas for years, hope you all have a good one :D

I guess it is a yay...

I have finished my counselling for depression, as i am a lot better. Back to my normal self.

I think the sporting goals over the next few months, i have set myself have given me focus, and not giving me time to dwell on anything bad. :)

Yeah, what Curio said. I think you've handled it all in the best possible way;proactive and asking for help as well as speaking to people about how you are feeling. *hugs* xxx

Economy has tanked here, 50% devaluation over Christmas (making all expats 100% more expensive overnight)...so goodbye contract renewal and hello extendo holiday!

Well February is starting off great... I feel mentally better, got my spark back....

You lot have known me a while, a few years ago I was nearly 18 stone, had a crap diet and drank too too much. This caused problems with my liver and kidneys, ultimately give me type 2 diabetes.

Just had my yearly medical. Let's just say it has put me in a great mood....

My weight is under 15 stone. My body fat index has dropped to 21. My diabetes is nearly in remission.

My plan is to get from 21 to 18 and be in the green for the 1st time ever, and hopefully come off my meds for diabetes by managing it by diet and exercise .

So I want to thank the folks that got me into the silly sport of triathlons and helped sort my diet.

It's a pretty minor yay but I'm now off the anti-depressants I've been on since Christmas 2014. I say minor because I was on the lowest dose possible and I've been mentally fine since the first few months of 2015; I just never bothered doing anything about it even though I could really have come off them at least six months ago. I'm curious to see whether there's any effects in coming off them as allegedly they can interfere with your libido and make you gain weight. I probably don't need an increased libido as there's not much chance of any romance on the horizon, but whatever. I am getting some withdrawal effects which are currently amusing me but I can imagine will get tedious if they don't fuck off soon-ish. It seems to be a common thing and is described all over the internet as brain zaps; though 'zap' is a shit word for it and 'pulse' would be a better descriptor I think.

Anyway, being medication free: yay! :)

Just a few more hours in the office, then a quick drink with my colleagues, home for the last of my packing and then at 2am the driver arrives to get me out of here...so looking forward to finally coming home.
