"Jolts". You also get them on withdrawal from other things that affect your brain, that don't necessarily get prescribed by a qualified medical professional. Thought I had a brain tumour the first time they happened.

It occurs to me that taking drugs that do funny things to one's brain may not necessarily be such a great way to fix problems with one's brain. Possibly.

I was on Citalopram for a while. It didn't agree with me at all. Unfortunately the side effects of withdrawing were the same as the ones I got from taking it, which confused me no end (and left my entire body itching furiously).

I'm now on Sertraline, which works, apart from leaving my legs jiggling for about half of the day at random intervals. But I forgot to bring in a new pack for work today, so today is sucking (well, it's sucking for many reasons, but that doesn't help!).

My legs do that if I take 100mg. But if I take that much my entire body feels like I am being given shock therapy. Talk about involuntary spasms ! fuck !

For the most part for average bouts of depression I will take 25mg. If after a week I'm not getting any better I'll 'zap' myself with 50mg but I would never take 100s again.

In honesty I don't even know if it's Sertraline's AD powers that work for me. I know they switch off a certain part of your brain (well, they attempt to) and a lot of people take them for OCD and bad nerves. And that's almost what my depression is. An OCD. Miserable awful horrible thoughts rushing through my head. And the instant I swallow one of those wonderful little blue pills the change happens. Within an hour Im just sitting here staring into space but I am no longer thinking bad thoughts.

As much as I hate the side effects of Sertraline (acid reflux, the squits, stomach cramping, terrible gas and *ahem* sexual side effect) I simply can not deny how wonderful they are at stopping my really awful thoughts and feelings and numbing me.

Yes! I've winged my way into various interesting jobs without anything remotely resembling experience in a related field.

I have just spent ten minutes staring at PDF files to work out why Acrobat produced twice as many pages as I requested in my job lot, before it dawned on me that each file had two sides

Sent in an application, I think my main problem will be I have no experience and apparently Masters degrees count for nothing these days.

Getting to the end of my Total War game, I've almost taken over the whole of Europe, meeting with minimal resistance. And then, the fucking Golden Horde turn up from the east. Fucking 35,000 of them. So I'm now fighting a defensive action rather than basking in the glory of my Red Empire Of Terror.

Your three pages into a new B&B without a picture of Micky Quinn so he must be out somewhere.

Heres a temporary one while you wait ...

And from here

http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/mia/

It seems Trio's are discontinued :-(

Quote:
Trio
Last updated: Monday 5 Jun 2006
Manufacturer Jacobs
Status Discontinued
Last sighted 2003
Description Chocolate covered biscuit bar. Recently spotted in Simpsons supermarket on the Malone road in Belfast by James Burns who says a toffee one was available as well. Rosemary Gault writes "I remember those - they were wrapped in gold foil and put in a red paper cover. Each biscuit had 3 lumps of fudge-like stuff on the top and they were then coated in chocolate, hence the name trio I suppose. I think they came in different flavours too - the red wrapper would have been for the milk chocolate edition. You could eat them by nibbling the choclate off then eating the fudge and the base, or snap them into 3." Damon Kemp adds "The first and the apparently biggest favourite was the toffee centred one. However, there was also a triple chocolate version, in silver foil with a blue wrapper." Robert Mugleston confirmed the inevitable "Trio bars: delicious, aren't they? I found them on your site stating they're available but rare. Sadly, I emailed Jacobs to find out where I may pick up a few for my lunchbox and they sent me this reply We are sorry but we do not make these anymore. It appears Trios are no longer!"

Also, obviously I'm not bipolar, but coming off the Citalopram/Prozac was wonderful, and I'd heartily recommend it to all. Takes fucking ages before you start feeling normal again though. I'd say it took me a good eight months or so of not taking anything before it properly felt like normality was restored in me noggin.

Edit: All who take such drugs, obviously. I wouldn't recommend starting it just to then try coming off again.

I don't like those kind of medications. :( I've been free of them for almost four years, and I find for me personally the benefits of taking nothing are better than anything I have been on. Obviously that's not medical advice, etc (damn the GMC for getting me struck off).
