Hmm, reading up online, this appears to be some kind of scam.

A company called Go Digital put a copyright claim in on the music, Google then insert ads into the video which Go Digital then get a share of the click through revenue.

It's down to me to dispute this. Since I have invoices I've filed a counter-claim via Youtube but I wonder how many people don't realise what is going on and how much money both Google and this Go Digital company are raking in via click throughs?

This all seems a dodgy as hell.

Moved to the old building now and all seems well. Hmm, hope it's not the new building playing silly buggers. That would ruin my friday.

She is basically doing everything she can to protect the elephants from hunters.

I won't believe she is doing everything possible until she takes a bullet.

She totally took a bullet for one. Honest. Prove me wrong.

It clearly wasn't fired by Riles then...

I found a picture of her on the internet - it looks like she has rubbed a cheese toastie all over her face.

Accordingly, I can only conclude that it was highly likely that I shot her.

I think it was discussed a few times and then abandonded 'because things change too often'

you could look back for posts when Chinny got his before Xmas - probably the main games being played right now are :

MW2 (warning this seems to be a bit of a marmite game so might be worth trying first)
Borderlands
L4D1
L4D2
Halo 3
Halo ODST

And the one that is always brought up : Burnout Paradise

Price wise you should be able to pick up Burnout / Halo3 for around a tenner
ODST for about 18
L4D1 and 2 somewhere around the 20 mark
Borderlands for 18 from Zavvi
MW2 still seems to be over 30 unless you got it at launch

Cheap classics to get you started Plissy:

Crackdown
Gears of War 1 & 2 (2 still gets Bezzie played)
Burnout Paradise

Current stuff:
Modern Warfare 2
Bayonetta
Halo 3 ODST

Loads of demos for you to try on Live, so testing the water is easy.

What tickles your pickle btw?

Saucy.

Racing games, mainly. Burny P is on the list, I'm more of a Burnout 2 man than Burnout 3 (and I didn't bother after 3 ruined the sheer perfection that was Burnout 2). I got Forza 3, Lego Batman and Pure with the console and the first will weld itself into the console for a while. Maxed TDU on the PC. Loved Trackmania on the PC. Isn't Outrun 2 on XBLAH?

Thinking about GTA IV, but wasn't that taken with it on the PC. Adored GTA III and Vice City, mind but wondering whether to give it another shot 'cos I love sandbox stuff that lets you play - I have caned Freelancer more than I care to remember.

Crackdown sounds good.

Not an FPS guy unless it is about thinking and not shooting. So Portal, Deus Ex and HL2 floated my boat, where Halo or COD doesn't. Will be doing some multiplayering, but not all that often.

Will get Geometry Wars 2 but twitch shooters can generally fuck right off.

Resi 4 was the best game of the last gen for me. SSX 3 was brilliant.

Want fun. Hate brown/souped up marines/robots.

There you go. Fill my gaping face with your gaming goodness.

Yes and is excellent - you should be able to pick up 2100 MS points for around £15 , i think outrun is 800 , there are a number of other good XBLA games Shadow Complex / Trials HD (for the first 1/2 anway) , these again all have demo's

If you liked Resi4 then try the demo of Resi 5 at least

Another thing if you dont mind 2nd hand is to go to your local blockbuster and see what they have in their 'deals' section - you'll often pick up good stuff in a 4 for £20 or similar (if i remember i'll stop off and take a pic of what the latest deals are in mine).

** Edit ** - 2100 points £14.93 at The Hut

http://www.thehut.com/games/platforms/x ... 21725.html

out of stock at the moment but you can order and they will send when they are available again

2100 points still £14.99 at 7 day shop (i picked up one of these last week)

Ireland, mate. No Blockbuster here! There is an Xtravision around, though...

How do you get a free first month on XBox Live Gold? I was expecting a voucher or something in the box. Also, do you only buy points in boxes/cards?

I loved Resi 5, it's just a fair bit more action-orientated than previous RE's. Be wary of the demo though, I thought the demo was shit.

I believe you get a free month's Gold subscription when you first sign up for XBL Silver.

Its okay , it depends what your looking for - for me Res4 was the best game of the last generation this one is just so so

Doh , not sure how ordering stuff goes from here then because they will probably charge more to ship there.

For gold sign up , and say you want silver , it will then give you a free month of gold (in the past you had to go through a number of questions telling you that you *really* wanted gold before eventually giving you it for free).

You can buy points through the dashboard but you'll pay more for them - you can get them 'paperless' from places like shopto , or buy the actual 'boxed' products (check my previous post for 7 day shop but not sure if they will add on shipping for Ireland)

Not as good as 4. But it's very good and it's cheap and you can have 2 player co-op and Bezzie Mercenary mode.

So yeah, get!

Like you I thought RE4 was the best game of the last generation and RE5 was probably my favourite game of 2009. I loved it.

Try shopto -- £16 for 2100 points and they'll deliver you a code via SMS/email. For comparison, if you buy them on the console, you get 2000 points for £17.50.

As zaphod has said, they are paradoxically cheaper to buy like that.

I liked RE5 soooooo much, I bought the Ltd Ed Red 360 'Japser' Elite.

Well, my other one died, so I needed a new one.

+1 for Fallout , although beware - it can suck your life away (i think i had around 50 hours on my 'playthrough' and i still have DLC to go back and finish.)

I have Oblivion to try but havent even loaded it up.

Keep an eye on the bargain thread on here as well there is always new things dropping to the magic £20 price point (and beyond)

There are also a fair share of 'cheaper' marmite games , which if they hit you right are wonderful (e.g. I love Dead Rising but it has a number of flaws) , SFIV was great (and only £21 for the new one which is due in a few weeks) , Bayonetta seems to be another 'love it or hate it' title.

I liked his response. He's growing on me, actually, and I find myself siding with him 100% here.

I think the lawyers are on very thin ice, here. It's not, as they state, "illegal to publish personal information", for instance. Or per se, at any rate.

Also - bet you 100 million imaginary Evony dollars that they don't make an application. I'd have thought that it's well past time that they would have, if they really thought they had a strong case, given his lack of cooperation.

Did anyone else actually play this last night then?

It's a little early to say for sure but I reckon there's the potential for Crackdown levels of fun, in fact I'd say that I'm probably more excited about this game than I am about Crackdown 2.

I played it. Four times. It's bloody brilliant.

I played it once (all I had time for) and it seems like they've addressed most of the issues with the first one and turned the content up to 12.

Standout 360 games for me only ordered as I recall them not in order of preference.

Batman Arkham Asylum
Dead Space
Fallout 3
Halo 3 (definitely for the multiplayer)
Geometry Wars 2
Forza 3
Bioshock ( a more thoughtful FPS and rewards thinking about how to take enemies out )
Bioshock 2 (What I've played of it so far seems very good)
Crackdown
Burnout Paradise
Tomb Raider Underworld
COD4/6 if you like that kind of thing
L4D1&2 both for the multiplayer.

I think Mr Chris and MaliA should set up a internet lawyer partnership thingy. Possibly called "Cardigan, Space Pirate & Titler".

Plissken, most of my favourites have been mentioned however if we jump back to racing games; GRID is worth a look even though Codemasters have gimped the online (mixed a load of DLC tracks into the events so you can't pay them >:() it's only playable with a pad though & on the other side of things the wonderful but very flawed Race Pro remains my favourite racing game to play with a wheel but it's not worth playing with a pad.

Also, Burny P is definitely worth getting, it's crap as a racing game but great to play as a group of bezzies.
