Just thought you'd all like to know. :hat:

I got this after about 3 days of owning the game. I still don't know what the fuss is about.

I thought this was a thread about a BMX road accident.

BS!

It's actually pretty fucking tough because it has to be done in a ranked match, and the mongoose doesn't actually kill someone if you run them over - they have to be pretty weak, which means you have to get completely lucky or try and try for over a year...

I thought this thread was about a retarded bird belonging to the family Anatidae, cutting its lawn.

It was actually in a match against the Beex-ers. Dimrill was pretty narked IIRC. I just carried on oblivious.

Well it has to be a ranked match now, so that wouldn't be possible. They must've changed it or something since then.

No, it wasn't. Dimrill was narked when I pointed out that you had it, but it wasn't fresh.

I thought this thread was about a drunken cobra running over Riki-tiki-tavi (sp?) in a stolen Cavalier.

I thought this thread would be about indentured rodent creatures forced to do gardening in Australia.

I thought it was about Judi Dench having sex with Maverick's co-pilot in the cowgirl position while a group of special forces soldiers tersely radioed that the former MP for Redcar Majorie Mowlam was dead.

Yeah, but that were Kalmar and BLucey not being better that level 1 skill. If they had've been we would've matched up fine.

Didn't we have someone in one of the games who we didn't know who it was?

I specifically recall Dimrill wasn't best pleased I had got it.

It has to be ranked, Chinny, which makes it very unlikely you were playing with even one of the Beexers, let alone a group. You can't take your chums into ranked singleplayer playlists, you see?

You were playing in this very game, with no Beexers:

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHa ... innyhill10

You got two kills in that game, one with the Mongoose and one with the Assault Rifle.

If you look carefully at the bottom-centre of this image:

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/WebMaps/hal ... 5&p=1&zs=1

You will see where you got the Mongoose kill. (Your icon is the little crosshair.)

You unlocked the achievement on the 29th. You didn't play any games with us on that day.

I spotted it and mentioned it to Dimrill when we played the next day, and he wasn't pleased, no.

I do find the stats offered by Halo quite fascinating. I find it a shame that Killzone 2 is not played due to similar stat-nerdery capabilities.

Definitely, :this:.

The Killzone 2 stats are absolutely incredible. It's a shame Halo 3 isn't the MP game of choice on this forum, actually. Why haven't Infinity Ward included this sort of stat-tracking in MW2?

Well, actually, if I had my way, UTIII would be, but Halo 3 would be a close second. And Call of Duty would be sitting is a cess pool

I switched my beatdown button to clicking on the right stick today. It helps a lot. Didn't realise how much time I was wasting switching my thumb to the B button. Just thought I'd share. Also, yeah UT3 is aces, but I prefer it on PC.

You are certainly better than at least two people on this forum. Which, given the sample size, isn't bad. I even spot many "1st" rankings against your name.

Coolio. I think I need to get you added up to my chums list actually, Chinny. When did you get the 360? (I'm pretty busy at the moment and hadn't noticed.)

Also, it's Rocket Race double XP weekend soon I think, which is ace.

Edit: Shit, that was last weekend. It's Grifball soon, which is still fun:

I like it enough to also own it on the PC. However, I do somewhat dislike having to play with M+K.

I've been half-playing Halo 3 MP for a couple of years now and I have a fair bit of XP, and my skill-level is 24 or something, but I'd still consider myself shite. It's really difficult to master. In MW2 I can join pretty much any game and come top, or at least top 3. Halo 3 it completely varies. Getting better, though.
