No, you've earned it, I wasn't aware it was the first person to post on page 100, I thought it was just when it got there, the first thread created became the new'un. I don't want a falling out over this.

It's ok. I'm a hardier soul now. I'll just go and have a little cry and maybe a sausage sandwich, and I'll be back to spam again.

I ran home at 4pm last night so I could get my parking permit and lodge an appeal against Saturday's ticket before 5... and as I walked down the street I met the Enforcement Officer on patrol. "Uh oh," I thought, "There's ticket number 2." I explained to the man, went and got my permit, and came back to find an envelope on the windshield.

On which he'd written his officer number and a note to anyone else that I was off getting my permit so please don't ticket. What a nice chap.

The man at Parking Services thinks my ticket'll probably be rescinded with a warning too. Which is only fair given I couldn't apply til yesterday, but still.

Why does the tradition have to stop? Because Grim... dun't like it? Can we do that now? Awesome! I've forwarded a cease and desist letter to Hideki Kamiya to stop him making games.

Ministry of Defence budget (2007/8)/ HMRC's total income (2007/8) * 100 =

8.2%

Ministry of Defence budget (2007/8)/ HMRC's Income tax (2007/8) * 100 =

25%

Numbers look a bit funny. Can't work it out.

Income Tax makes up about 30% of the UK Government's revenue, so that looks about right to me.

Good that around 10% of the total annual spending is 'Other'.

A bit, but then council tax only covers around 25% of local government funding. much comes from block grants from the government

Arg, my maths is failing me.

177 billion pounds a year on a population of 60 million?

That's 2950 each a year, right?

177 000 000 000 / 60 000 000 = 2950

Yurtis.

I think he went off them and wrote a rant about them somewhere.. God I hope it wasn't them. There's nothing worse than feeling the wrath of chinny. I'd rather piss off my girlfriend and then go through the entire 'making up' process complete with lots of slave work (like being really nice to her for a couple of days and buying her coffee and donuts etc).
