You're not a very good estate agent, Mali.

Place just outside the Oxford ring road*. I was wondering if you know anything about it but you didn't respond, so I made a joke. Sorry, a 'joke'.

* Though actually it's not at all, but Berinsfield is, down Wallingford way. And when I said "just", well...

The inlaws live down there. Wallingford and environs are lovely.

Hm. Despite Google Maps calling it "Berinsfield, Wallingford" it's actually miles away. It's actually right next to Dorchester, apart from some water.

I might move to Benson, so I can grow some Hedges. Or "Mongewell." Heh.

Stratford is nice, aye, but I wouldn't say it's "best". It's pretty, and the tourists mean that it has a happy atmosphere (but they stick to the town centre so you can generally ignore them if you're one of those miserable types who hates tourists), the theatre is great and there are lots of visiting acts, and if you're into shakespeare there's none better (and if you're not, give it another go). But it's never really felt like 'home' to me. Canterbury felt much more like that, although it doesn't anymore. It's just a bit too middle england, is probably it. Not Daily Mail style (indeed, the people I've met are mostly very open minded sorts), but just ... I don't know. A bit 'obvious'. And I seem to be the only person living here who is older than 18 but younger than 40. Also if you don't want to drive to coventry, leamington or brum, there are only about two places to work.

The place I've been fondest of was Canterbury, but then that was the first place I moved to when I left london, and I fell in with some friends who at the time I didn't think were cocks. And even then, I was earning practically negative money in a rubbish job.

Given the choice, iono. I'd probably give Bath a shot, or maybe manchester if you need a city.

I've been to wallingford. I met about 80% of the inhabitants in twenty minutes.

I like Bonkle. I've never been there & judging by its close proximity to Wishaw it's probably a bit crap, but every time I drive past the the signpost it makes me smile.

I've heard Northumberland is lovely. Craster in particular.

Also gives at least 15 pages of porn free image search. Even with safesearch off.

These things do not sound like things of a best place. These can be used to take out the places from the list of where is best. Canterbury is not best. Liverpool is not best. Aldershite is not best. Where else is not best? Is Leeds not best, or is Nottingham? Portsmouth also exists, for further examples.

I quite like Tumbledown Mansions and its environs, but it's my house and you can't have it.

That picture just doesn't look right without a Boomer on the grass and a man with a shotgun crouched behind the fountain.

Bourton on the Water is lovely, other than that it's a little bit touristy, and, oh yes, the GIANT BABIES

We went to Portmeirion once. I wanted to hold a sign with "0x7fc00000" on it, but MrsParm wouldn't let me. IEEE754 jokes have a kind of limited audience.
