Is snow leopard any good? I might get it for my laptop.

Well, there's that welsh prat with the northophobia, that midlander with the narcolepsy, that scary lesser and the hairless deviant with the photoshop mojo.

They're all fine.

It seems a wee bit faster and needing-to-be-reset-less than Leopard, and crucially, didn't break anything.

I can't remember what it's supposed to do differently. Oh, the menus for the launchbar thing look nicer.

The beers are, due to my friend's staggering ineptitude and last-minute-while-I'm-in-a-meeting-plan-changing-powers, in Chancery Lane. However that means we get to go to the Most Awesome Ye Olde Mitre, so inadvertantly resulting in Win.

£8 if you bought a Mac after June 2nd. Or £25 if you own Leopard. Or £130 if you don't meet either criteria.

Protip - Don't pay your tax bill.

You haven't paid your tax bill and now you can't afford it? No problem, Business Support service will defer it at the drop of a hat.

Paid your tax bill but have made huge losses so far this year that will clear it, but you'll go bust if you dont get that money back soon? They don't want to know and are keeping your money until you've done next years tax return. Bastards.

It should be pointed out at this stage that there is no serial number, no activation and no way for Apple to identify a individual copy of Snow Leopard. Go figure......

So, the last few weeks my sister has been phoning over and over dropping hints...

'Edward said that we should throw away the second cot because Dylan's grown out of it now, but as I explained, my sister might want it one day'.

'I was sorting through the babies' summer clothes, they've both grown out of many of them, but I'm saving them, because someone will probably want one of them soon.'

She keeps on digging for info because my mother happened to spot me in Boots a while ago and I was buying Folic Acid, but I buy it fr other health reasons, and gossip, it seems, spreads.

I have been answering my sister with a lot of 'oh?' and 'I see' type answers. I feel like each answer frustrates her that little bit more.

The latest phone-call went:

Sis: Hi. I thought I must call you, because I had a dream about you last night.
Me: Oh? Did I die?
Sis: What? No. No, no, no. You were pregnant.
Me: Oh?
Sis: Yes, and I thought I must give her a call to find out - I've been trying to call you for three days! (she has)
Me: But you only had the dream last night?
Sis: ...
Me: Ooh, got to go, doorbell!

Snarf.

And if you are installing Snow Leopard, best check that your critical software is Snow Leopard happy. I've got the laptop over with only slight pain, but the tower isn't a battle I'm willing to fight yet.

I can't imagine a liquorice+sugar product having a "use by" date*, and it's perfectly legal to sell "best before"s after that date, so long as you make no attempt to disguise that fact from the customer.

Well, I would for a real baby, not for one that only existed in sister's head, though. Trust me, though. if/when I manage to have kids they'll be dressed up in all manner of stupid. I don't care - it's not cruel until they are old enough to complain.

I do knit baby clothes - but for her kids. Actually, I decided the last dress was too nice to give her, though :p

Anyway, I'm not. I like the fact that it was another phonecall opportunity for her wasted, though. Hehe, she must be so frustrated. :DD

1st October and 1st April are drink money days at work. I got a bottle of Tanqueray planning for this weekend to be a gin weekend. Now I'm wishing I'd bought some whisky :/
Might have to go back in tomorrow. Also bought myself another bottle of red wine...if I play a game tonight I may be tipsy. I have done nothing but drink red wine and eat awesome food every evening this week, so I figured one more night won't do me any harm.
