My friend had a CD-i. It never worked.

His parents were the king of buying technology that ultimately failed. They had a GX4000, a 3DO, a Jaguar, a Betamax player etc.

Hmm, probably actually. I can't be bothered checking though because I would have to lean forward slightly.

I don't know what a GPU yes, but green lines sound annoying. At least you get to go out drinking tomorrow while I have to go to bed early because I have to work A FULL DAY on Friday instead of my usual half day :'(

There's an excellent Boosh episode where Betamax is a monster coming to steal all the wimmens in a wee village. I however am too young to remember such formats ;)

I can take half days or off days whenever I want... but I really shouldn't... work to be done and all that.

All I need is a new graphics card apparently, just a cheap 10quid one off ebay would do the trick, but Im pretty sure 99% of my payment money is already gone due to owing the parents 850, flatmate 75, bills probably about 100, Edinburgh 80+95, booze..lots, and foods aswell. I hate having no money

You should ask for money for your Christmad then you could splurge a wee bit and get your new GPU thing. My wage went up in August or September and it although I'm still not earning what I'm used to, I have been forced to learn how to manage my money better so I actually feel quite well off now :)

I love my half day but this training is going to be boring. I will miss my nap :(

But I owe the rents lots o money, and I'd rather just them buy me a ski trip or something if they get me anything. Im only on 10k for the year, but it's good, and tax free, so can;t really complain. and Im getting a free laptop from my department aswell :D
