Just so you know, I want to bring our Mini Mimi up as an omnivore who doesn't eat sprouts.

I'd just like to say that if I actually was pregnant (especially with Zardoz's child) this would definitely be the way I wanted Craig to find out...

Personally I'm glad it's out in the open. No more secrets now.

Craig can still support us.

Annoyed grunt. I've had to start another PayPal dispute. That's twice inside a month, up from 0 for the previous 9 years.

Bought a PS2 network adaptor that still hasn't arrived yet two months on. Guy gave me a royal mail tracking number which is one digit too long, too.

First one I bought some Space Putty from the actually makers of it, and they didn't bother to send it out or reply to any emails me or PayPal sent.

You could type it in removing one of the numbers of the tracking code in turn. They usually start with BR and end with GB, so it'll be one of the ones in the middle of those that's erroneous.

The latest phone-call went:

Sis: Hi. I thought I must call you, because I had a dream about you last night.
Me: Oh? Did I die?
Sis: What? No. No, no, no. You were pregnant.
Me: Oh?
Sis: Yes, and I thought I must give her a call to find out - I've been trying to call you for three days! (she has)
Me: But you only had the dream last night?
Sis: ...
Me: Ooh, got to go, doorbell!

Snarf.

At least you don't have Kovacs trying to marry you off so he can buy a new hat.

I've got a network adaptor if you want to buy it like. Do you just need the thing on the back? Im not sure I'd know where the start up disc is or if there was even one in the first place.

Quote:
“How I Met My Wife” (A Tale in Orphan Negatives)

by Jack Winter, the New Yorker, July 25, 1994

It had been a rough day, so when I walked into the party I was very chalant, despite my efforts to appear gruntled and consolate.

I was furling my weildy umbrella for the coat check when I saw her standing alone in a corner. She was a descript person, a woman in a state of total array. Her hair was kempt, her clothing shevelled, and she moved in a gainly way.

I wanted desperately to meet her, but I knew I’d have to make bones about it, since I was travelling cognito. Beknowst to me, the hostess, whom I could see both hide and hair of, was very proper, so it would be skin off my nose if anything bad happened. And even though I had only swerving loyalty to her, my manners couldn’t be peccable. Only toward and heard-of behavior would do.

Fortunately, the embarrassment that my maculate appearance might cause was evitable. There were two ways about it, but the chances that someone as flappable as I would be ept enough to become persona grata or a sung hero were slim. I was, after all, something to sneeze at, someone you could easily hold a candle to, someone who usually aroused bridled passion.

So I decided not to risk it. But then, all at once, for some apparent reason, she looked in my direction and smiled in a way that I could make head or tails of.

I was plussed. It was concerting to see that she was communicado, and it nerved me that she was interested in a pareil like me, sight seen. Normally, I had a domitable spirit, but, being corrigible, I felt capacitated—as if this were something I was great shakes at—and forgot that I had succeeded in situations like this only a told number of times. So, after a terminable delay, I acted with mitigated gall and made my way through the ruly crowd with strong givings.

Nevertheless, since this was all new hat to me and I had not time to prepare a promptu speech, I was petuous. Wanting to make only called-for remarks, I started talking about the hors d’oeuvres, trying to abuse her of the notion that I was sipid, and perhaps even bunk a few myths about myselfs.

She responded well, and I was mayed that she considered me a savoury character who was up to some good. She told me who she was. “What a perfect nomer,” I said, advertently. The conversation became more and more choate, and we spoke at length to much avail. But I was defatigable, so I had to leave at a godly hour. I asked if she wanted to come with me. To my delight, she was committal. We left the party together and have been together ever since. I have given her my love, and she has requited it.

Black Cabs have a turning circle of eight metres, and run on a Range Rover chassis, fact fans.

Did you go to the Monk Exchange?

Wait, isn't that loads?

Edit -- no, my Omega's turning circle was 10m. I thought it was less for some reason. My Picasso's is 11m, oddly, despite having a much shorter wheelbase. Stupid French.

11 for your Picasso, 12 for a Range Rover.

They don't - because buses and lorries are large, they have more space in the arches for the wheels to turn, and have tight enough turning circles to scrub their rear tyres.

It's genuinely noticeable getting around tight car parks. In some ways the Omega was easier to park, despite being over 0.5m longer. Partly the turning circle thing, partly the tow bar, so I could just keep going back until something went crunch.

Really?

David Starkey - he's the presenter of 'Monarchy' but he's also a political commentator and a semi-regular face on Question Time, to which he brings almost teeth-achingly cringing value.

About 1am

The camera is on my work mobile which is a nokia 6300, It's not very good in low light conditions, and I'm not that good at taking pictures, especially as I had to take them without seeing what I was actually taking a picture of.
