Never googling anything at work every again.

Probably never googling anything Zardoz suggests ever again. From anywhere.

The NSFW doesn't bother me so much, I read the GGS thread *shrugs*. Gross stuff, however, I cannot handle.

Thanks! Urban dictionary told me so, but you can never bee too sure.

A full guide to Beex-speak would be rather awesome, actually! :)

Waterworld: The extended universe, Perkies cut

The Deacon isn't a bad guy. He's a good guy, it's Kevin Costner's selfishly destructive mariner guy who's really the baddie.

The Exxon Valdez is moving at speed through a vast field of abandoned tankers and oil rigs. On closer inspection, the drills on several of the rigs are still turning. The Deacon explains they chanced upon this field and used it to refill their supply of fuel. The rusted car was retrofitted with a dump-truck style body to carry 'ore' mined from the ocean's floor. The dirt-based economy has all but collapsed in the face of such volumes. (the car was also painted hot pink)

They're just finishing off the last few drops from the rigs before continuing toward Dry Land, having made proper charts and also a sextant by which to navigate. The old geezer and the obnoxious child (a boy in this version) are now slaves, riding bicycles along a rocky archipelago.

There is, you see, a problem. The Smokers' seaplane was stolen and needs to be recovered as it will greatly ease their scouting for Dry Land. As the ship sails through the area, they are investigating local settlements.

The boy and the old man ride up. The boy spots a patch of soil.

"Dirt!," he declares, "I'm rich!"

The old man admonishes him, saying that much dirt won't buy him much these days. The ship passes (under its own power, I'd note, no more rowing) and one of the Smokers shouts at them to get on with searching before it comes time to leave.

Cut to a small island (maybe 200 metres long, 75 metres wide), with a snack bar. A calm looking man in an elaborate white monk-style robe is facing off against a crazed looking wanderer. The monk pulls an extremely long thread from his sleeve and throws it over the wander's head before garrotting him. He walks off, past a sign saying: 'This is my place. If you want to take it from me, come and try - The White (something, I forget, it was weird like Butterfly or Lotus or whatever)'. Above this sign hangs - the stolen plane, sans engine, as a trophy/decoration.

Many bizarre things happen. This was an old tourist spot, and the scenic railway is still intact, albeit just below the water's surface. Raiders riding the steam-engined train turn up and start a fight before being driven off. Two figures waving can be seen on the horizon, getting closer and closer. The Titanic thunders past, followed by the SS Great Britain. The two waving figures are now near the shore, and the islanders rush to rescue them, only to find they are two corpses (dressed in garish holidaymaker clothing) with strings around their arms to make them wave not unlike the scene in the movie. Another fight ensues with the raiders who have been pulling the strings as a diversion.

Eventually a streetcar pulls up, run by a dreaded male and female pair of mercenaries known as 'The Trammers'. They are trying to steal something so important I can't remember what it was. No matter how much I shot them, even causing the 'this part is disabled' indicator to light up on my HUD, they wouldn't stop but simply be slowed down. In the end I was firing entire clips of bullets into their arms, legs, heads and the controls of the streetcar itself, with their destroyed bodys lolling limply at me as they followed their scripted paths back onto the streetcar to escape.

Very frustrating.

That's all.

Snippets...

Buying meat in a shabby butchers. Slight mix up with my order meant I had to mooch around the building as I waited for my order to be ready. Dev from Corrie was the owner, he had an awful wood panel office with vivariums full of weird shit at the back. He asked me if I make my own spice mixes and was pleased to hear I did. He told me the secret of a good Jalfrezi mix was adding Juniper berries.

After leaving the butchers to get back to my car we* discussed how thick the butchers assistant was then I showed everyone my new car. A bright green Renault Scenic. As we walked around it even I started laughing as I pointed out the net curtains in the back window.

*always different people as the dream went on.

The only bit of a recent dream I remember is sitting in a police station's detective room with my colleagues discussing open cases. What made the scene stranger was that my colleagues were the golden age Blue Peter team of Judd, Purves and little Johnny Noakes.

On Friday night I dreamed that I was in a big fight, and this one brute from school got in my face. It was pretty intimidating.

The next day I met a friend from school that I'm still in touch with (not a dream), and told him about it. He then replied that the dude in my dream died a couple of years ago of a heroin overdose.

I'd never have found out if he'd not bobbed into my dream in a violent manner. How odd.

Funny. I dreamt I was training up for a boxing match and had spent the past six months making the weight and working really, really, hard for it. The week before, I went for a meal with Craster and Curio and we all ate lots of nice food. The next day, I failed a drugs test and nobody would believe it was due to the food and I was very sad and everyone thought I was a cheat, then. Bizarrely, I had been reading about Cuntador a couple of days back.

I dreamt I met Dimrill and some of his friends on the train home from work ( I have no idea who his friends were - I think they were just generic dream people ). They were playing poker, and asked if I wanted in. I did, but we spent so long sorting out chips and cards and so on, and then ages setting up the hand, that I ended up missing my stop. Then we actually started playing, and I raised on the first round and then everyone folded straight away, and so I got off the train having won about 20p.

I dreamedpt that Spotify went out of business. I remember reading the BBC News page on it and thinking "oh, Spotify have gone out of business." That's it. It was great.

I dreamed the night before last that I met Bill Mureay backstage at the theatre and he was charming. Also, that Russell was being wrapped by a giant spider because he wasn't playing Clash Of Clans 'properly'.

I awoke from dreams twice last night. In the first, I was in a room with a friend and a ghost. We were trying to get rid of the ghost, but it made the room really foggy and it was quite disorienting. The second, I was walking through some kind of township, to a newsagent. Noticed some ne'er-do-wells behind me. One grabbed my phone, I got it back, but he grabbed it again. He was gleeful about stealing it, the bast.

This thread's absolute gold. Strangely this has become a recurring dream now:

Dimrill wrote:

I was at a garden party / BBQ of some sort, and Peter Andre was there. He took me aside and asked me to help choose an engagement ring that he was going to use to propose to his girlfriend with. He had a box with about eight different ones in that he had narrowed it down to but he couldn't pick out of them. They were all truly, really horrible but I didn't have the heart to tell him, so I kept trying to get him to ask other people, but he wouldn't. I think we chose the purple plastic one with huge fake flowers stuck to it in the end. ?:|

I think it was more the poor quality of the ingredients than your sandwich making skills that lead to the substandard finished snack.

I had a dream last night where I'd gone to beexbq3, but somehow arrived early and gone to sleep to await other arrivals. I then woke up to find zaphod (who apparently in my mind is massive, ginger with a foot long beard and dubious taste in sunglasses) lying on my feet with a broken and bleeding leg.

He then later turned into a goat to avoid answering questions about what he was doing sitting on my feet, which I found highly frustrating.

Also, it appears that in my dreams, Grim... Has redecorated his house 70s beige style.

Have you been to the British Museum recently? (POSSIBLY NSFW)
