Got this last Christmas and it is one of the best sci fi novels I have ever read. I got an edition with the three original books in one volume.

Hoho! When I lived in a student house, our landlord sent his workmen round to build us a barbecque out of bricks, and to tidy up the back garden (such as it was). The Norwegian chap who lived in the room at the back was wonderfully perverse and enjoyed all sorts of schoolboy humour, and told us that one of the workmen could seemingly only communicate by belching, while the other swore constantly.
