Lovely here. A balmy 24 degrees when I left for my ride. Dropped to about 20 just now when I got back. Just the right temp for a medium length ride (did 25 miles).

The glastonbury coverage with Adam and Joe on radio 6 is actually pretty good.

My dog Minton ate a shuttlecock. Bad Minton.

The most Northern TV show ever:

The Indoor League, familiar to people who used to watch Fantasy Football. This is not a spoof, this is a real TV show put out in the afternoons throughout most of the 70's.

As one person on the Youtube comments says "I'd rather watch this than Dancing On Ice".

Would Ant and Dec walk on with a pipe and pint? Would I think more of them if they did? You betcha!

He was the fucker who never said anything useful in terms of recommendations. Unlike those other cool fuckers who pimped out how ace Left4Dead and some cool bands were.

Yeah.

It looks like it's going to be another scorching hot day here. I would go out on the bike, but going alone is a no no right now, so I think a walk around Stowe is on the cards.

I finally got around to getting the eggbox version of Street Fighter IV, and I'm finding that it really brings out the worst in people online, heh. The amount of angry fuck-you messages I've now received from hateful wee bampots is really quite frightening. My losing a fight only seems to make the subsequent ragespam more bilious. I really hope the people who play at competition level aren't all like this. To me, fighting games are about having a laugh with your mates and pretending to rub their faces in it when you slaughter them. What I'm seeing here is just sad.

Oh well, I suppose it's to be expected when you're a predictable Ken player. ;)

What's all this about heat and storms? It's cloudy and mild in Leeds.

Well i can say it isnt *all* like that but there is a lot of that on there - since i've never really played any of the online FPS's that much this my first real introduction to the abusive teens that are on Live.

lots of swearing , people complaining if you spam a move (while they happily sit and spam another) , people complaining if you block all the time (or at least their moves) , and before the last update to flag it up when it happens people disconnecting if they look as if they are going to be beaten.

Ugh. I've been helping a friend move house all weekend. 8pm Friday - 6am Saturday, 2pm Saturday - 11pm Saturday, 11am today until now. It's bastard fucking hot, and he's moved to a place on the fourth floor. I'm a dead man walking.

I just beat someone on Street Fighter 4 quite convincingly, then he decides to throw a load of insults my way via the text message thingy.. What a tosser.

There's no need is there? If I didn't have a messenger pad then I would ignore him but it's kinda fun winding him up now!

Anyone into the Fire Emblem games? After a bit of Shining Force reminiscing for the Top 50 games, I thought I'd dig out FE:Radiant Dawn for the Wii and give it a whirl. Excellent turn-based strategy with an unforgiving nature - one wrong move and you lose a key character and fail the map conditions. If there's one thing wrong with it, it's the completely forgettable music.

Only one i've really played was the GBA one and it worked really well as an Advanced wars type of game but with the novel idea of having characters who can actually die.

I did have a very quick look at the gamecube version but didnt really spend the time on it.

My mate, Mr Tom is getting married. So far so good. However, you can bet your bottom fucking dollar that his sag do is going to clash with MrsA's friend's wedding, so rather than spend a day getting drunk with my mates and strippers, I spend it with her Uni mates, staring into the bottom of a G and T.

Rookie mistake!

Miss Malabar and I nearly T-boned a car yesterday on a roundabout when the dozy bitch in the left lane decided to go all the way around at the last second. We were in the right lane going straight on, as per the arrows on the floor, of course.

It always makes me a little nervous on dual-carriageway roundabouts when someone is in the left lane, because I can never completely trust them.

By straight on, I mean onto a road with two lanes. We were heading into the right lane of the exit, and I said to Miss Malabar "Watch out in-case this woman moves over into the right lane." I didn't even think about her being stupid enough to just go for the third exit from the left lane instead, the cunting bitch.

I just keep my distance. Living in a new town I have to navigate three roundabouts for every seven feet of road, so statistically it pays to err on the side of caution.

I had someone take a "racing line" approach to go straight on from the left lane on the way home yesterday.

Which was super, except I was in the right lane turning right. Sadly I was too busy trying to GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY to do anything useful with a horn or inventive hand gestures.

You should use the left lane to go straight on, though.

This roundabout has two lanes leading up to it, but I've only ever seen someone use the right lane once to go straight on. Everyone uses the left.

Someone pulled right out in front of the other day causing me to have to do a full emergency stop, I wasn't in my own car though so ended up pounding on the airbag symbol in a failed attempt to show my disapproval.

I really don't get how some people don't understand that lanes carry on around a roundabout, and bleed off as necessary. It's not difficult.

Yep, people in the nearside lane just love to cut you up if you're outside them.

I've seen people use the nearside lane to use the second exit on a roundabout near where I work; the problem being that the second exit is all the way around to the right.

My main problem is the whole 'oh shit I'm in the wrong lane' thing then deciding whether it's safe to cut or worth going round again. Or in the case of the ones around Northampton, around again and again and again and...

Indeed!

Obviously it's not so important if you've done the necessary checks and there's nobody else on the roundabout with you, but cutting across when there's blatantly another vehicle on your outside is just being a dick, and it happens to me all the bloody time.

Probably not of interest to many but the new Nike SB skateboard video is free to download from their site in glorious HD-O-Vision:

Some very good skating too (Grant Taylor is the standout), shame about the terrible 'skits'.
