Any of you southern, shandy drinking bastards affected by the Tube strike? What do you reckon? Over-paid tunnel rats holding a city to ransom, or socialist heroes fighting the power? |

Office is nice and quiet. The Motor Expo people must be pissed - a tube strike and it's been pissing it down all week. I've never agreed with the fact that strike action is only available to those in certain critical jobs - everyone else just doesn't have access to that as a recourse. Also, Crow's an arsehole. |

A good portion of the workers don't believe in this strike action, so several lines are running okay. My opinion is largely that Bob Crow is a cunt of the highest order. 5% and the promise of no redundancies? In a recession? With interest rates where they are? Fucking hell, Bob, why not ask for the Moon on a Stick? The vast majority of people can't get even close to that kind of promise, and to strike because you don't get it in a week where other industries are laying off thousands of other jobs just makes him look like a blinkered, money grabbing idiot. I've always hated him since one of the tube strikes was over the sacking of a man found guilty of gross misconduct by taking most of a year off work with an injury that didn't exist. How the hell can they defend that? *shakes fist* |

Although, I did have to get the DLR back from the city this morning as cabbies wouldn't struggle through the traffic to the wharf. My whole team has made it in. Only department of the firm which has achieved that. I'm going to give the credit to my superb management skills. |

Get the ferry from Blackfriars Pier (right near St. Pauls) to Westminster Millennium Pier and then get the 11, 211 or 148 to Victoria (or just walk the last .75 of a mile). |

Thanks for the info Grim... I actually meant St Pancras, as I'm a tard at spelling I shortened it. I think I should be OK if the same tubes stay open as they are today. |

They're paid twice the national average wage for the world's easiest job and were offered 5 years guaranteed above inflation rises. They should have bit TFL's hand off. Worse, starting the strike at 7pm, in the middle of the rush is cuntery of the finest order. I can actually get a tube home too though, I think most have realised how pathetic this one is, apparently Crow is now holding them to ransom over a thief and someone who was sacked for trying to let all the passengers out onto a live line. |

They are offering refunds for people that don't want to come, and opening the gates way early, so Wembley are doing everything they can. Apparently, a tube strike costs London £2,000,000 an hour. Cor. |

Shit load of it though. £0.5m per hour for a system where if 50% of it doesn't work it costs £2m a hour. That is a 3x profit margin. Not bad at all. |
