Surely some mistake? It takes around six and a half months between shots.

The Barrett is automatic, and is more powerful. The Dragunov is at least as powerful and faster. The penultimate one (R700?) is a similar speed but more powerful. The M21 isn't as powerful, but has almost zero recoil and fires semi-auto.

Any of them coupled with stopping power = better than the original sniper rifle.

For the COD4 newbies, what you can take away from all this back-and-forth discussion about the best gun and whatnot is that as you progress through the game mostly your unlocked stuff gives you options but much less than you'd think in the way of advantages. I certainly didn't appreciate how true this is when I started the game.

In Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare, I find it hard to find opponents that are round about the same level as you. When you do find that excellent back-and-forth sweet spot it's great, but frustrating when you're getting pwned all the time. MrD needs to play with a smallish group of We to experience none random homophobic and xenophobic types.

Yes. Even if he could just get a group of 4-5 of us together in the latest game in the long running series, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and we play as a party on public servers, he can at least eliminate the horrible voice chat as his team will be comprised of Excellent people. In addtion, by doing that in Infinity Ward's latest FPS Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, you sometimes end up against a team of internet chumps who are quite good at the game but clearly making no effort to play as a team, and hence you can beat them with superior tactics. This is a very satisfying experience when playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which won E3 Game Of The Show from multiple journalists in 2007.

I am going to play Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare after I have eaten some critically acclaimed Dimrill's Egg Muffins With Reggae Reggae Sauce And Cheese.

I fear I may be persuaded to purchase a copy of Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare Game Of The Year Edition, published by Activision so I don't get an earful of Variety Map Whining every time I log on.

You fuckers. Game are selling the version with extra maps for £39.99 now. Tempted.

Is that still the best price for new?

No. Check paidpeanuts as I'm sure that version is £35 somewhere.

Hello *squints* "Myoptika".

Will Cod of Julie Four run on my Son's Nintendo? It has a controller thing.

No, but you can get the slightly inferior Call of Duty 3 (CoD 3) for the Nintendo Wii.

It was ten pounds more less than a week ago. For fuck's sake.

CoD3 on the Wii suffers from the following problems:
1) it actually looks a bit worse than the Xbox version. I don't mean the Xbox 360 version.
2) the controls are not very good. Expect frustration.
3) CoD3 in singleplayer is largely terrible. I know that this forum's very own Sewer-Side Porkies is a big fan of CoD3 multiplayer - but you don't get that on the Wii.

I don't recommend getting CoD3, on the Wii.

Myp, I suggest you go into the work toilets and sit there for a good 10-20 minutes. After which, stroll right up to your boss and say "Bossperson! I have terrible runny diarrhea. I could piss rusty water through the eye of a needle at the moment. It's like milky tea. I would like to stay at work, but I fear I may soil my trolleys, so I must be off!" Then run out of the office holding your bottom and doing a two legged hop thing. Drive home whilst singing the Official BETEO Critically Acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Anthem of "Macho Man" by the Village People, but with super special secret Critically Acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare lyrics. Rush into your den and play critically acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

I've been enjoying the use of the G3 recently, in the critically acclaimed etc COD4. However, this is intermittent, as largely the gun is woeful... but then occasionally, especially on 'Chinatown', it becomes an awesome tool of death, and I go on a complete rampage with it. I do not understand why, as on most levels it is slightly less effective than just hurling particualrly nasty curse words at my assailants.

Anyone fancy a game in about 10 minutes, for mebbe an hour? Ironically, I am off work today because my neighbour and his missus have given me food poisoning from a quiche they made 'for me' (she's a chef). If I can keep back the milky tea from breaching my city walls, I do fancy a bit of C.O.D. IIII

I would almost certainly be available this evening to play the Critically Acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare but most likely not until mid-evening (8pm) or so. I will endeavor to be online at some point, and if you've all already played it to death and gone again I shall flounce off in a sulk and complete Resident Wiivil 4 instead.
