I never got to try WoW...

I spent forever downloading a torrent of the trial version, only to discover it was for North America only. I'm not sure what the difference was, but they could fuck off after that, basically.

Played it since launch, played for over 100 days total. Do I play it too much? I've decided recently I do, having got a bit bored of it. But here's the thing, it never took over other parts of my life. All WoW did was steal 95% of my gaming time for the best part of two years, and on reflection I'd have had more fun playing 50 other games.

I can stop whenever I want - I have done, in fact I spent weeks of heavy playing trying to get something, then my exams started approaching so I dropped it cold. Once I went back I had to start from scratch again.

American versions mean you can only play on American servers.
WoW's cheap enough to just waste a tenner on now days anyway lol

There was some problem at the point of registration... I think I tried to put in my details and it refused saying that it didn't match the region, or something.

It had been in my torrent queue for so long that I'd forgotten about it and so was taken by surprise when it suddenly finished.

i have the exact opposite problem. I can't get addicted to anything. I can't even buy the same pack of cerials twice. I can't finish any game nowadays....

I don't sorry; I wanted to say there are a few Linuxy types here though. And, er, 90% of the folks I work with are Linux WoW players, if it can wait ;)

Yeah, it's not urgent but I'm having issues.
I've gone back to playing in Windows till (I hope) I can find a solution.

I'll be chatting with Sheepeh about it too, as it's his Pc I'm on atm..but the graphical glitches, sound glitches and general laggy play are getting me down and need sorting. I'm hoping I can make it run a lot smoother.
