Sorry for being a bit off-topic but I'd like to make a random prediction that console MMO's will acually get a bit popular this year with All Points Bulletin, The Agency and Huxley are scheduled for release this year. I say huxley but I havent seen anything of that for years.

I'm very much looking forward to APB, but because it's made by Realtime Worlds, not because it's an MMO.

Can you withdraw cash at any time you like, or is it much like poker sites where they deign to send you a cheque after a month's cooling off period?

Yeah you can withdraw any time you like but because each withdrawal is actioned manually, and to stop fraud, money laundering, thieves and scammers, it typically takes 3 weeks before it hits your bank account.

At the moment there are only 2 MMORPGS (the other being 2nd life) in which it doesnt break the EULA to make money buying and selling items. Ebay doesnt allow virtual items to be listed any longer.

It's no subscription and free to play - there is an activity called sweating (much like mining in Eve - and just as boring) in which you earn free money to try out hunting and mining.

Anyway, I enjoy it, have made money and I thought I'd mention it, especially as the average age is about 30 - no WOW kiddies here.

If you want to give it a try its a 2 hour download:

Well there are 2 PVP zones where you loot $ from miners (sound familiar? ;) ) but PVP is not for the new to the game, and the armour and gun you would need would be beyond what a casual player would deposit to purchase.

Think 0.0 with a merlin. :)

Right-o.

I saw this earlier, and it brought back happy memories:

Quote:
...I infiltrated a corp (Sirrius Cybernetics for those interested), and after about 6 months of gaining their trust, myself and a few friends stole 3 billion worth of stuff and destroyed another 2 billion. On Christmas morning.

I didn't realise you were Josh Homme. Anyway, you lot suffer from Mumorperger's Syndrome. It's like Asperger's, but worse.

It's an RPG-lite - I wouldn't say it's massively multiplayer, though.

That's very funny Shin, but technically I would say any decent orgy would require more than one woman and loads of men. That would be gangbang. :p

I'm surprised there haven't been more attempts at console MMORPGS. Has there even been a single free one?

I did enjoy Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast, but never took it online so it lost a lot of its point.

It was very futuristic and groovy, and played it years before I installed Eve.
