We got fucking slaughtered every match. I scored a penalty though, doubling my team BETEO tally.

Losing 9-1 to spurs in the opening match, in which we scored the first goal was a particular highlight. We couldn't even get enough players sent off to forfeit when they started doing tricks to annoy us.

helpfully its not even in the online game modes bit.
Its the be a pro online mode or something, then you create a session and make it private, then it brings up a list of friends for you to invite.

should we make a list of fairly even matches we could play? like milan v inter and barca v madrid?

I think this could be the way forward. I've grown bored with being thumped 6-0 by Man Utd.

what about morecambe v bournemouth, which would be everyone against myp in the real last game of the season to see if bournemouth stay up.

You were clearly missing the defensive prowess of myoptikakaka and Dr Curiosity.

It may look like we're incompetent blunderers who clear the ball more by luck than judgement... but that's just what we want you to think.

I think it was down to us playing as Inter, who have the back line residing permanently on the half way line, meaning any attack by us led to a clearance being hoofed long onto a running opposition forward. I tried adjusting the defence balance on a couple of games when I was captain which tended to help, until I realised that this was a tactical move, which is clearly against the spirit of Team BETEO.

I saw this when the score was 6-1. I actually assumed that you were still playing as Spurs and were doing really well. ?:|

What's the score with the BeEx League? I've only just recently found that it exists, and how to join it. Given that we all seem to be at about the same level (slightly below average), maybe that's an option for the Wednesday night FIFAfests (that I wasn't able to turn up to this week),

I'm playing real footy tonight, but should be home by half eight or so.

Decent matches:

Villa vs Everton?

Liverpool vs Arsenal (or any of the Sky Big Four)

France vs Italy?

England vs Holland?

Inter vs AC Milan?

Barcelona vs Real Madrid?

AC Milan vs LA Galaxy?

I think more topical matches might be the better solution, so liverpool v real madrid, and chelsae v juve could be reasonable game to play. Also we could play spurs v man u in relation to the carling cup final, least in that game anyone will be happy losing.

Do I need to do something other than head for the dressing room?

Right I've looked at the possible games between today til tuesday and it brings up some pretty good matches.

Manure v Spuds
Real Madrid v Liverpool
Chelsea v Juventus
Cska Moscow v Aston Villa
Ajax v Fiorentina
Boro v West Ham
Atheltico Madrid v Barca
Inter Milan v Roma
Werder Bremen v Brian Munich
FC Porto v Sporting Lisbon
Lazio v Juventus

Any preferences I think we'll have to do the carling cup final at some point.

I can't make it either, I'll be watching the Real Madrid-Liverpool match, then I badly need an early night. If there's an impromptu Beex United get-together later in the week I'll be up for that though.

Right schedule for tonight.

Manure v Spuds 1-0
Real Score: 0-0

Real Madrid v Liverpool 0-0
Real Score: 0-1

Chelsea v Juventus 1-1
Real Score: 1-0

Ajax v Fiorentina 1-0
Real Score: 1-1

Inter Milan v Roma 0-2
Real Score: 3-3

Werder Bremen v Brian Munich 0-0
Real Score: 0-0

Hmm so we managed to predict only one correct result but it was also the correct score.

Stupid game keeps crashing as we get to half time, must be a scratch in the sector it is trying to read. that'll teach me to get pre owned games from Game.

Have you got the space to install it to hard disk?

Edit - I'm playing the game with you now, why didn't I just ask you?

I'm sure that items move around the menus from week to week. Nothing is ever where I expect it to be.

I got home late last night and arrived as the last game of the night was going on. So I had a quick ranked match, and once again, the score/time bar had changed.

yeah, we had 3 different score bars last night.

they did coincide with the league cup final, euro and uefa cup games though, so it maybe that? Or maybe not.

Maybe they change the time bar indicator to match the way it's presented by ttheat country's popular broadcaster? I thought it was quite neat, but other than pure speculation can't say why it chooses one type and not others. Maybe it's chosen at random?

They are shocking. I spent a good while staring at the menus and going back and forwards looking for the 'dressing room' option where we usually meet for online play against strangers (and when I did find it realised no one was there). And we never did work out a good way to play amongst ourselves without losing people and having to send out new invites at the start of every match. Very very poor - whoever approved of the menus wants shooting.
