Yes, but I was not there last week.

This week I shall be there, and we shall have many players.

Runcle - have you invited Bobby to join our team?

Is there an official fifa 09 thread (cf beex united?) If so, mod please move this post.

Has anyone played the be a pro season bit. Why do the results in the game not match those in the results section? Eg I beat Watford 9-0 and it comes up as a 2-0 loss. It does come up with the headline page of the peper as a 9-0 win, but in the results and league section it is wrong. I have scored about 3 goals, but it lists me as having scored none.

Is it because you're playing in the reserves and it's giving you the first team's results?

Yeah, you should be able to. Without it in front of me, it'll be difficult to tell you where, though.

My mate was saying that theres going to be a big patch after the window closes with all the transfers and other bits and pieces like weather, so probably happen in 2 weeks or so.

The Live Season is just terrible. I can understand it not taking account of injuries, as it might be annoying if your club is plagued with them... but it plays people in the wrong positions and when they're not even in the first team.

Nicky Shorey has not played left back for Villa other than one or two games at the start of the season, yet he's in the team! Cuellar has only played one or two games at centre back whereas Davies is pretty much an ever present... Cuellar's in the side ahead of Davies!

Stupid Rubbish Nonsense.

You can change them yourself, you know. I used to keep the teams up-to-date all the time in Sensible Soccer.

What does the Live Season Update do then? Other than give not very accurate form guides for players?

Do they expect people to pay for this at some point? And would anyone actually give them cash to be told that Ronaldo is in better form than Bendtner?

I will be around to run headlong through the opposition defence before being being tackled having not passed play, unless the cricket is more interesting.

8pm start. At this rate, any latecomers might not get in. We have about 7 or 8 regulars as it is (ignoring last week when only Joans and I showed up).

If by some freakish weirdness we get more than 10 people, can we set it up to have a 6 on 6 match, or something similar?

It took me quite a while to get an online game going (against strangers) with a couple of chums I had round playing on the same team*. I find the FIFA 09 menus a bit fiddly really.

Aye, the menus are something else. I still don't know my way around them that well, and I've had the game since release.

Just added bobbyaro.

If theres more then 10 people Ill try sort something out. On the Be-a-Pro Online Quick Match theres an option to play against friends, dont know if you need a full 20 people though, hopefully we can do 6 v 6 with computer doing the rest.

Also our Beteo Team has been semi successful, we have won 6 trophys out of 9 possible.

Trophies won:

Win a Club Game
Keep opponent to 0 Goals
Play with 10 Users on a Team
Win 10 Total Games asa Club
Score 200 Total Goals (surely wrong, we've played 50 odd games so that would be averaging 3-4 goals a game)
Play 50 Total Games As A Club

Trophies still to achieve:

Score 5 Goals in a Game
Earn 5 Assists in a Single Game
Win 30 Total Games As A Club (That ones going to take until FIFA 2010 is out I think)

There have been a few false starts though, which may have been credited as a win with associated goals. Seems unlikely though as the win stats aren't high.

Perhaps own goals count as well. :D

If there are too many people then I can drop out early. I'll need to leave around 10 at the latest anyway.

But EA have announced a new mode for us. Building your own ultimate team with trading cards, its going to be like being 9 all over again.
