Howdy people. Long term lurker here (and a squatter from the WoS forum). I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on this trailer for a short comedy series I'm making. It's about crap cryptozoologists (i.e. - people who search for Bigfoot and giant octopuses and that).

It's all very tongue-in-cheek, and made to look like the guys in the show are self-producing the series on a shoe-string budget (the spelling mistakes are all intentional, natch). Have a gander at let me know what your think. Does it look intriguing? Funny? Or rubbish?

(Also, I've stolen the music from a computer game - a bonus point to the first person who correctly names the game.)

I've actually heard of this already. We made a joke about it going downhill when they renamed it The New Seekers.

I'd probably watch one to see what it was like.
As for the music, dunno. My brain is saying Gryzor/Contra, but I know that's wrong.

Are you finding it's actually often really expensive to make things look cheap?

Nope. Although you're sort of in the right genre.

I think we'd need an actual budget to answer that question: we're just making it for Youtube, for a laugh.

One good thing about this is that it's difficult to get sued - after we shot the scene of the guy holding a fish in the water, we noticed a large sign saying: "this lake contains large traces of sewerage and fecal matter." He wasn't a happy chappy.
