So, I innocently clicked into the thread and this happened. Deliberate? Seems fitting:

Here's an article about cybermen and the ending of series 10 and stuff. Because it's more comforting than Brexit.

Lovely, thank you.

I fell into a rabbit hole of Den of Geek articles there. The funniest one was the theory that the Valeyard came into being during the Angels and Demons Red Dwarf episode when the two ships split (because the TARDIS is in the hanger in one of the deleted FX scenes).

Haha, Gail Platt from Corrie is in the 3rd Doctor serial Colony in Space! She's very young and putting on a posh voice as most people did back then.

Seems a good choice. I liked Walsh in Law and order UK

As a female type person, those braces are impractically placed and would just keep slipping as they are over the fullest part of her breasts or (worse) would chafe her nipples.

I am, however, grateful for the handy caption that the BBC have put on this photo, as I couldn’t see the tardis until I read the text below the picture.

I thought that, but wasn't sure if it was best to pass comment or not.

The audio drama company, Big Finish, have a 99p sale on at the moment. I listened to the first few Paul Mcgnan stories over the summer. Some were ok ('Storm Warning'; 'Sword of Orion';], one was mindblowingly amazing ['Chimes of Midnight'], and one was dire ['Minuet in Hell']. Just got the few in the Mcgann range and a Colin Baker for the hell of it.

There was a sizable chunk of the Christmas special previewed during children in need last night. Seems to feature Mark Gatiss quite heavily.

Chimes of Midnight is amazing. I'm working through through the Eighth Doctor Adventures while I work at the moment.

Currently on Neverland which is really good too. Leads up to Zagreus which features 5, 6, 7 and 8.

'Doctor Who' in particular would be much better if the BBC could control their marketing departments. The big twist in the last two episodes would have been much better had the reappearance of a particular actor not been trailed, for example. Admittedly I didn't work out who he was until the reveal but...

The BBC have put up the New-Who regeneration episodes on Iplayer, including Mcgann and Hurt's. I rewatched the latter yesterday (wasn't in the mood for anything else, and my DVR remains at 73% full) and was impressed that the 50th anniversary romp is just as enjoyable as it was four years ago.

Not the best regen episode ever for me. The first half hour dragged, the secon was however excellent.

Worth it though for my daily mail loving Brexit twat of a mother in law starting off on the “Jodie Whittaker is pc gone mad” line and not having chance to finish it before both me and the wife told her exactly where to fuck Herself.

Did manage to watch it..

Did like the not-so-hudden anti brexit message in it.. even before the end...., and linked how the story was completely as expected.. traditions, traditions...

I really enjoyed it. Nothing big or grand, but just an excellent epilogue to this year's series and to the Capaldi era.

Very excited about 13!

Just finished the Three Doctors 10th anniversary special, so that's the first decade done! Two more seasons of Pertwee and then I'm onto Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor.

The interplay between Troughton and Pertwee in the 3 Doctors is a delight. Been a few years since I watched it; might add it to my list.

It was a shame Hartnell was too unwell to play a proper part in it.

Finally got round to watching this.

Loved it!

I actually liked the first half. I really enjoyed Capaldi playing it silly and Bradley playing it completely straight. Loads of excellent lines.

Loved the new introduction in terms of the laugh and ‘brilliant’.

Yay fun!

As of now I am now exactly halfway through the classic series, episodes wise. Obviously I haven't seen them all though as quite a few of the early episodes are missing.

Episode 5 of Planet of the Daleks, fact fans. Nothing beats seeing Jon Pertwee outwit the universe's ultimate killing machine by throwing a rug over it and pushing it into two feet of water.

Third Doctor finished. Some dross, some excellent, I guess Doctor Who never changes.

I never really warmed all that much to Jon Pertwee though. I'm three episodes into the Tom Baker era and I'm already loving him. Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith is brilliant though. She does not take any bullshit.

Jon Pertwee is probably one of my least favourite doctors. All that earthbound stuff doesn't help of course and the obviously limited budgets, but that fucking car, man... urg!

Hmm, ta Zaphod. Not bad, not bad. Shades of Eccleston's Doctor, who I really liked. But that's probably an accent thing. Really hoping for a lower key approach in the story-telling without any of the many irritating aspects of the Moffat run such as clatteringly cack-handed speechifying, smug arrogance and confusing-yet-shrug-worthy 'mysteries'. (Really disliked the regeneration episode, unfortunately.) So fingers crossed for a new approach, and a thrilling new Doctor.

The Twitch marathon has moved onto the Leela episodes...I'd forgotten how excellently blood thirsty she was. The mocking of the mortally wounded Rutan was gold.

I'm slightly ahead of that watching the DVDs slowly. On the last story of Tom Baker's third season, The Invasion of Time.
