I like irc, it is good.

ButIonly use one channel, llamasoft on and I reckon we should have one on here. As far as I know, one can set up a new channel on any given server but it will then disappear once it becomes empty. What is needed to enure a persistent irc channel for bezzies? A bot to keep it up? Anyone conversant in irc?

Yes, you just register the channel with your servers ChanServ and it'll put their bot in there to keep it open, give Ops and things.

I think we had a channel on QuakeNet but noone ever went there.

I personally have IRC open whenever I'm browsing, as it's built in to Opera. I generally have the EvE Radio IRC channel open.

haha both mrak and I went in #worldofbistro at once. We are alone in there.

Maybe we should have a relaunch or something, get the party swinging?

Good though IRC is, I would rather be trading insults with you lot while playing Burny Pee/GTA/Halo/whatever than sitting typing them out.

Voice chat >>>>>>> text chat.

For those of us that have to sit in front of a computer all day at work, however (and some who don't have time / permission to have a big games fest of an evening), the idea is gold.

I worry that it would create a divide.

Teehee! I was being a bit sarcastic.

I haven't used IRC for a long long time, but I'd probably idle in the channel.
