The wife and I started watching Vikings last week and got to the end of season one last night.

She likes it but I don't think I'm a fan. None of them are very likeable as characters and the fact that they make the English look stupid at every step of the way is really annoying me. Also, that snake pit that the king had? What was all that about?!?

I've no doubt that I shall carry on watching it but I'll be darned if I'm going to pretend to enjoy it.

Nope. Definitely the first season. It's only briefly been in one episode though so far.

I watched the first episode of Santa Clarita Diet last night and thought it was fantastic. Can't wait to watch the rest of the series.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia just keeps getting better and better, which at S12 is quite a feat. FIGHT MILK!!!!

We've started rewatching it from the beginning. It starts better than I thought it might have, although it's extremely noticeable that all of the characters are only half as awful as they are in the current episodes. First truly great ep is Hundred Dollar Baby, for my money.

I watched the first series and then got deeply suspicious of Danny DeVito joining and stopped watching. I should start again at some point.

DeVito is amazingly fearless in the role, too.

McElhenney: We didn’t want to [bring him on the show]. We were forced into it. We had a show without him the first season, and then nobody watched it, and so John Landgraf — who is the President of FX — he called me in for a meeting and was like, ‘Hey, no one’s watching the show, but we love it and we want to keep it on, but we don’t have any money for marketing. We need to add somebody with some panache that we can hopefully parlay into some public relations story just so we can get people talking.’

We were really reticent to add anything … that might destroy the chemistry of the show. They started knocking around different names and Danny’s name came up, and we said, ‘I guess that kind of makes sense.’ …

For whatever reason, I just don't find It's Always Sunny funny.

I think I've said this before, but I just can't enjoy a show when I don't like any of the characters. I'm sure it's objectively very funny, but it's just not for me.

For whatever reason, I just don't find It's Always Sunny funny. Not sure why, it feels like the kind of thing I should like. Suspect there may be a Seinfeld-like tipping point where everything slots into place and it all makes sense. But I've not got there yet (have watched half a dozen episodes).

A group of self-absorbed Brooklyn millenials get drawn into investigating the disappearance of a college friend they haven't spoken to in years. It's true comedy drama, very funny at times but very dark and sad at others. Builds to a fantastic gut-punch of an ending. Alia Shawkat (Maebe from Arrested Development) is fantastic as the lead character.

Watched the first episode of Legion. It's promising, but weird as hell.

It's got some good elements, but I think it's got a weird scatterbrained tonal inconsistency that's detrimental to the show as a whole.

I can see why people might dislike Dirk as being over acted, but I really like him,

Thirdly, I think the supporting cast is excellent.

Overall I think it's really good fun, but each episode seems about 5-10 minutes too long.
