Yeah, I watched that episode. Slightly (very) annoying to find out that was the last one!

Well it was going to get another series sans Beckett, then they decided against it - so no real surprise it had a weak ending.

I have about four episodes of The Good Wife left and am now upset! Such a great show!

I haven't read the spoilers though so will just hope that you're all wrong :)

There's no Good Wife spoilers, and we're not wrong, it's a dogshit ending.

Maybe they'll just make another series to fuck with you. I mean, they said they planned the ending from fucking years back, so I was expecting something good.

Well that's the end of Banshee then. It's a satisfying ending, but I'll miss it now it's gone.

Brilliant last episode. What a fantastic TV show that was.

Yeah, what a lot of fun that was. Sad to see it end but glad that it got a decent conclusion.

Am still slowly going towards the ending of The Good Wife. Am still annoyed that they balls it up.

Meant to be a spinoff coming though?

Anyway, I only found out today that Luca in it is a Brit!

It wasn't quite what I was expecting tone wise, but I don't really know what I was expecting. I agree it was good though.

Gilgun's accent isn't perfect, but aside from that he's an inspired choice for Cassidy, I can imagine he'll do a great job of both the comedic and tragic side of the character.

Interested to see who's it progresses.

I enjoyed Preacher, agree on the look of it. It was a solid start, not exceptionally brilliant but very solid...enjoyed the news story on in the background of the bar scene.

To be fair, it had a lot of pieces to assemble -- and did so without feeling artificial about it.

It did some solid character-building work in very small amounts of time, too. Notably with the church assistant lady who has the hots for Custer.

I liked Preacher, but I'm not sure I like what they've done with the characters' relationships, like they've just chucked a load of the characters from the comics together straight off. We'll see how we go.

I quite liked ep1, having never read the comics. Jesse's hair is indeed stupid.

I finished Season One of DAREDEVIL last night, which I thought was fantastic.

I will pile straight into Season Two over the weekend.

Watching entire seasons of things is quite a big investment of time, but I don't mind at all when the quality is this high.

I don't think season two is quite as good as the first, I think they tried to cram a little too much in, and so it feels a bit unfocused.

There is a lot of good stuff in it, though.

The Good Wife.

Yeah, I can see why people are annoyed about the ending!

Though lots of symbolism back to the first episode and others, and to thematic stuff.

I don't think it's too bad, to be honest, but I'm more easily pleased in such respects usually.

It certainly underscored one theme for me - that everyone in the entire show, Alisha included, is an incredibly self-centred dick.

It started out as standalone made for TV movies and yeah they were great. I seem to remember them all opening with a fantastic cinematic scene.

Edit: They are very Australian though.

Just had another look on the NG and there is now S1 and S2 6 episodes in each. Seasons look to be standalone stories but might start with S1

Its got some good humor in it for sure!

Not sure that's right.

I think season one is the first two movies, season two is the third movie, and then season three is the new TV series.

Findus' foughts on US TV as of now:

Daredevil. I just finished watching S2. Enjoyed the first season but this season felt like a slog. The Punisher and
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
King Pin
very much the best things in it. Karen very much the most annoying thing in it. TBH, ditto the increasingly emo and self-important DD himself. Fighting was boring. Seen one fight with identikit ninjas you've seen them all - and there are a lot of identikit ninjas in this.

On reflection, I'm not sure why I kept watching. Just wanted to see where things are heading and get more of the antagonists
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
(apart from Nobu, who can Nob-off).

Arrested Development. I've been rewatching S1 - S3 and it somehow manages to improve with age. The gags still hit hard and fast and the attention to detail just makes you brim with happiness sometimes. Now I'm restarting S4, which I only managed a few episodes of previously. I didn't like the new longer format, the gags felt fewer and further between, it just didn't feel as funny. Hoping to prove myself wrong when I watch it again, as I'd love it to be great. Ep 1 wasn't great unfortunately, but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for exposition.

They are supposedly recutting season 4 to be told in a more linear chronological order for TV broadcast, and I think it might be an improvement.

I'm working my way through Season 2 but it's not setting my world on fire, to the extent that I don't find it very difficult to find something else to do instead of watching the next episode.

Shane also has the same problem that he did in TWD, namely that I think he's right and the main good guy is wrong.

So in TWD it was like 'Shut up Rick, Shane is completely right, stop being such a bleeding heart tossrag'.

And in Dardevil it's like 'Shut up Matt, Shane (sorry, Punisher) is completely right, stop being such a bleeding heart tossrag.'

And yes, DD is turning into a bit of an annoying dick and the fight sequences are becoming genuinely dull, one of them felt like it just went on forever.

The overall roster of characters is nowhere near as interesting as Season 1 either.

I'll probably finish Season 2 though, just because it's there and stuff.

It's very good but I worry it's being too obtuse and will lose viewers who aren't familiar with the comic. Because I know what's going on, I can't judge if the show is being intriguing or annoying, but I suspect it's a bit too close to the latter.

Just finished narcos. That's some brilliant TV. Nearly gave up after a couple of episodes because I didn't like DEA man and Pablo wasnt doing it for me (after reading the essential book Killing Pablo). But i take that hesitation back. Brilliant TV show. If you don't watch it, you're wasting those pixels in your telly box.

We got 4 episodes in, will have to start again or carry on where we left off if we can remember who is who.
