Do you think he really burnt the wings or were those the fakes ?

And obviously Maz has kept a feather so can she grow a new set from there ?

I think he did really do it, and agree on the second point.

This weeks episodes is rather revealing (although not on that point).

However, I was somewhat annoyed that the Devil himself doesn't know the difference between jealousy and envy.

Watched the first episode of Damien last week - it was ok, but nothing stunning.
I'll give it a second then bail out.

As in "The Omen"? I've heard nothing about that.

Fucking loved the films, though. I'd be interested to hear what you think of the second one.

Yep, exactly that, though it's started with him as an adult unaware of his identity.
It's got Bradley James (Arthur from Merlin) as the lead and he's a decent actor, with Glen Mazarra as showrunner so it *should* be ok but it just left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Omen remake. We didn't really pay any attention, to be fair.

But it wasn't great.

Yes , and I spotted the reveal beforehand but it sets things up for an interesting last few eps (last night was 8 there are 13 in the season)

Whilst being trapped under a sleeping baby, fearing to move, I stumbled across watching The People vs O J Simpson on iPlayer. It's really awful, but like all the best bad TV, I couldn't stop watching (mostly because the remote had fallen on the floor and I was too scared of waking up Baby Codd to move).

Cuba Gooding Jnr plays a shouty man called OJ Simpson, who killed his wife. His lawyer friend is some Kardashian man, who is Ross from F.R.I.E.N.D.S (did we ever find out what that acronym stood for?). But he is the WRONG KIND OF LAWYER, so instead John Travolta is drafted in as a lawyer who wears far too much make-up and seems to have his face moved into a permanent creepy clown face by botched plastic surgery. But he's a shit lawyer, so then there is another lawyer.

Then whilst OJ is with police and under arrest, he decides to go for a shower, which they allow him to do, all by himself, and he decides to go on a drive with his buddy up and down the motorway, holding a gun to his own head. Eventually he is caught.

Then it goes to court and I was singing Row Row Row the boat so don't know what happened at that point.

There are still a few more episodes to go. I hope they get the bad man!

Having just re-subbed to Netflix I have all of this Daredevil thing to look forward to.

Season One of Jessica Jones first, then I'll do Daredevil Season One and straight into Season Two.

I note their selection of films is as bad, if not worse, than ever though.

I am liking Jessica Jones very much although I'm surprised the BBC have allowed Doctor Who to become evil.

The order is Daredevil season 1, then Jessica Jones, then Season 2 of Daredevil.

Edit: Maybe it doesn't matter a huge amount, if you're enjoying it in any order by all means continue to do so.

I wouldn't say you'll really lose anything if you watch Jessica Jones first. The nurse makes a few references to Daredevil so you'd be slightly mystified about the odd bit of dialogue from her but that's about it.

Just finished Daredevil, excellent...although, as with the first series, it's most interesting when Daredevil is not involved (Yay Punisher!).

After the last episode is a short trailer for Luke Cage...roll on the 30th September.

I was mainly thinking in terms of tone. Daredevil starts of pretty grounded, but builds to the more fantastical elements, whereas Jessica Jones is pretty fantastical from the start.

I think I'm about eight episodes in to DD season 2 and it's been a bit patchy. Started off well, dipped in the middle but looks to be picking up again.

Though I do worry that they've shoehorned too much into one series. Last time round The Kingpin was the baddie and that was that; a straightforward setup with room to breathe. This time we get
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
The Punisher, Elektra and The Hand
all crammed in and personally I think it's suffering because of that.

Also pretty much everything to do with his relationship with Karen can fuck off.
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
It might just be fatigue from having seen this played out in so very, very many superhero stories over the years, but watching a hero slowly sabotage a relationship by trying to keep their secret identity in increasingly ludicrous circumstances just bores the tits off me. At least with Foggy he knows about both sides so they can have proper interesting conversations about Matt's priorities, but with Karen it's just a seemingly endless parade of mumbled excuses and confused disappointment. Even as of the last episode I watched where it sort of came to a head it was just played out in such a predictable and tired way that I just don't care about that whole plot strand any more. Obviously they could do something interesting with it, and I hope they do, but it's certainly the weakest aspect of the story by far at the moment.

I am loving Jessica Jones, three episodes left to go of the season now.

It gets better as the season goes on IMO, mostly because there's progressively more of David Tennant in it.

I see it has been renewed for a second season so there should be more of it along soon.

Had a mini-binge and watched the final three episodes of Jessica Jones last night.

It was jolly splendid although I felt the final confrontation could have been a bit stronger.

I guess it's a big deal that Jessica can't be controlled by Kilgrave, and sort of controls him in a way, allowing her to do the neck snap, but considering how awful he was I was just hoping for something a bit more..... brutal.

They're going to have to come up with a really good baddie for Season Two to match Mr Tennant though.

Aye, I'm not at all sure what they'll do there. The character hasn't really done much of anything since the Kilgrave stuff so they can't even crib story lines from there. I'm slightly concerned season 2 will be shite.

I suppose it depends on the quality of the writers and directors they get really, I noticed that there were loads of different names cropping up in the credits for both roles. (I always watch the start and end credits in their entirety, even if I'm watching three episodes on the bounce, bit of an OCD thing.)

I'm not familiar with the comics at all so I have no idea what they have (if anything) of substance to draw from there, but I guess they could just make stuff up as long as it sort of fits into 'the world'.

But yes, Kilgrave and his power will be a hard act to follow, especially as Tennant was so damn good.

JESSSSSICAAA!

I loved this series so much. Glad it's coming back for another season. Kind of love that it has lots of important, flawed f!characters without resorting to crappy tropes.

And David Tennant was a terrifying bad guy. Literally terrifying.

Vikings is getting better and better each season. And now we get to see Ragnar as a junkie. Good times!

'The girlfriend experience' is an excellent surprise. I liked the movie, but the TV show is just on another level, even though is lacking in Sasha grey
