Agreed, loved the first season and have really enjoyed the first two episodes of Season 2 so far.

Exactly the same sentiments as above apply to THE LEFTOVERS (loved the first season, enjoyed the first two episodes of Season 2 so far). Totally understand why this is a somewhat "marmite" show though, given it's rather ambiguous nature, and that some people can't stand it. I love it though and find it really interesting and atmospheric.

First episode of FARGO season 2 : hmmm.....enjoyed it but is hasn't hooked me like the first episode of Season 1 did (and subsequently the whole series, which I thought was great). It was decent and there was nothing particularly wrong with it, it's just missing a character as remotely interesting or entertaining as the Billy-Bob Thornton character from the first season.
Early days though, be interesting to see how it goes forward.

Everyone in this thread who recommended Banshee, you were indeed correct. It's great, and bonkers, and has ridiculous amounts of violence and many, many boobies.

Right, I'm giving season 1 of this a go. THERE BETTER BE SOME QUALITY BOOBIES.

It got renewed, so unless US networks are catering directly for me, someone else must have tuned in.

On the off chance that the former is true though, I'd quite like a new series of Firefly please. :p

Not sure if your aware but there has been a *lot* of rumors about this - especially with Joss being 'out of a job' and that Joss and Nathan were at a recent talk about Dr Horrible

Also, it looks reeeaaaalllly likely that Castle will end after the current season.

I'd like them to ignore Serenity and carry straight on from the end of S1.

I saw Buffy The Vampire Slayer for the first time yesterday (S1, Ep1). It wasn't as bad as I thought it might have been. It was quite enjoyable, even. I think Grim... Told me to watch it years ago, mbut I never got around to it until Russell put it on yesterday.

My initial thoughts are that I prefer Willow to Buffy, but I don't hate Buffy.

The early series have dated terribly badly and it improved a lot in later years. I'm sure if it was released now it would get cancelled after one season.

Yeah it's one of the best new shows in a while. Took me a bit of time to get into it, but I loved it by the end.

I also recommend the movie Comet by the same creator.

I've just been watching "Review" it's a hilarious silly mockumentary comedy about a guy who gets challenged to review a variety of life experiences. Stuff like Addiction, Revenge, Making a Sex Tape.

I works because of the demeanor of the guy. He's somewhat reserved, and really enthusiastic and optimistic, and trying to be professional, but he puts himself into ludicrous situations. It's the guy who plays the Doctor in Silicon Valley if you watched that.

The format is that he reviews three things each week, but it weaves a story inside and between the reviews really well. Not really seen any shows quite like it before.

I watched the first series of Review last year and found it really funny. The main guy is great (and, yep, I recognised him in Silicon Valley).

I've been too busy watching quality drama shows in my spare time over the past few weeks (Fargo, The Leftovers, The Affair etc.) but I'll be catching up with the Season 2 episdoes of Review soon enough....

It's found its way into my top three shows of all time (and the only one not involving spaceships).
