There are some parts of this in the pilot (you see other angels and you have a few glimpses of his powers) but it would be a concern if it turns into a standard police procedural

So the last episode of the season of Hannibal then. Pretty incredible.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
pretty climactic ending. I loved it, but I'm disappointed that they didn't have the balls to have Hannibal and Will kiss in the final moments. I can't really see how either of them would survive that fall, so I guess it really is over, although it's not out of the question for them to come up with an explanation for them to have survived. He show does have a habit of letting people survive stuff which should definitely kill them.

If that's all we're getting I'm satisfied.

Fear The Walking Dead is as bland as I expected. I don't know if the writers are just bad or if it's intentionally derivative because it's aimed at people who don't have much background in watching zombie/post-apocalyptic films.

Has anyone watched 'The League'.

We're halfway through Season 2 and it is very entertaining, in a childish dick-joke sitcom fashion.

It is about a group of people who compete in a Fantasy Football league (in the States - American football). You don't need to know anything about the sport (my wife likes the show), and it's mostly just a group of semi-familiar blokes taking the piss (and one amazing lady too).

It's surprisingly fun.

I could imagine reviews between terrible and Meh!, but i don't know how can anyone be excited about it. The dialogues and characters are incredibly stupid. The show has a cast of diverse nationalities from around the world, but they're so cliched (the asian girl that does martial arts, the womanizer latino, the russian bandit, etc.) that i though i was watching live action captain planet. Which would have been preferable. The problem is even exacerbated of having everyone speaking english.

After watching the brilliant Narcos, that didn't pull any punched when it came to authenticity, watching this was embarrassing.

Authenticity? Narcos is about the drug trade, this is about people who for some reason are able to share their consciousness with each other. I thought it got a lot better as the series went on and some of the characters became quite likeable. But I'm not sure you have seen much of it with your "womanizer Latino" comment.

Womanizer wasn't probably the best word to describe it, since in the first episode he actually denies the colleague advances. "Sexy" is probably a better word.

When it comes to authenticity, Narcos is shot in Colombia with actors speaking in Spanish with the local accent. That's the bare minimum.

When Tarantino, when asked about his option to shoot with so many languages for inglorious basterds, he said something along the lines of "audiences nowadays are smart and demanding, they wouldn't just buy it if everyone spoke English"

And the scenes with the transsexual character were terrible. When she said "nobody ever defended me before" me and my wife both laughed as it seemed the scene came out of a really bad high school play.

Are cartoons allowed here?

I've been really enjoying Steven Universe. It's from someone who worked on Adventure Time, and to an extent has some fairly obvious similarities to AT, but it gradually differentiates itself by placing far more emphasis on the relationships between the key players.

It's about the adventures of an enthusiastic but inexperienced young boy, and his three alien guardians, fighting weird monsters and learning how to be a family.

It's somewhat saccharine, but I like it that way.

It's fairly progressive, and cleverly uses the sci fi and fantasy elements as metaphors for identity, relationships, sex and more big subjects, all in a manner that is accessible for a young audience.

I like that all the relationships change over time, and the personalities of the main characters evolve too. I also love that it's a show with three physically present surrogate mother figures, each with their own autonomy, and well defined characters, all with flaws.

Highly recommended.

Another great cartoon is Rick & Morty, which is from Dan Harmon (Community). It is somewhere in the same space as Red Dwarf or Futurama at its best, using sci fi conceits as a vehicle for comedy. It also has sprinklings of viewing the world through the lens of pop culture that can be quite reminiscent of Community, but it's definitely it's own thing. Great voice cast, and some incredibly dark moments.

Also highly recommended.

"And the Kosher Cupcakes" is my favorite, with the two Bar Mitzvah kids.

I've not seen Rick and Morty, but I couldn't get on with Stephen Universe. Regular Show and The Amazing World of Gumball are both good for lulz, and obviously people already know about Adventure Time.

Started watching Blindspot last night

Women (naked) found in a bag in Time Square, she is covered in tattoos and has no memory of who she is.

She has the name of an FBI Agent on her back and it transpires that her tattoos mean things and so Scooby Doo type mysteries will be solved each week :DD

Only got half way through the 1st episode last night due to wife birthday dinner hangover so will watch the rest tonight looks ok though.

18 months back, when life was somewhat different, The Child and I used to watch Sons of Anarchy together at 5am. It was really good. Then, as time passed, she lost interest in being awake at twat o'clock and I continued watching because I believe in the vows you make when you sign up to Netflix. It got shonky, as Trooper warned, when they went to Norn Iron and Byker tried to, y'know with y'know. New I am up to s6e7 and the fuck am I still watching it? The vow to netflix is why.
